Seen this? Rex definitely considering AD

This why I hate Ryan:

“With him, we’ll end up first in the league,” Ryan quipped. “Without him, we’ll end up first in the league. So if we get him, that will be great. But again, I’m not worried about him. He’s not on our team.”

I hope the Jets fall apart this year because of this crap. Even if he was coaching a team like the Rams which I couldn't give two craps about, I would root against him because of this crap.

And you know Jets fans who will read this and say they love his swagger would trash Belichick if he said something like this.

Sexy Rexy better watch out. The Jets aren't below the radar this year. People are going to expect them to be good and bring their A game and looking to shut Rex up.

Can't help but smile at Rex's as-usual-humble quote towards the end. :D Let's see how it plays out.

Rex Ryan admits Jets will 'definitely consider' free agent linebacker Adalius Thomas | - NJ.com

Glad Adalius is gone, but this move would concern me. If AD played at the level he's capable of [and in a role that plays to his strengths] the Jets D could truly cause nightmares for us. If they've got the dough, I see this as a no-brainer for Rexy.

Too bad the Olinemen can't make shifts--we could line Vollmer up in front of wherever AD is to greet him. :D

Agree 100%. I think they definitely flew under the radar last year, and also had the benefit of a somewhat soft schedule. Let's see what happens now when every team will treat their game vs NYJ like it's their own SB. Rex doesn't realize how hard it will be to "end up first in the league" with a target on your back every week.

to me he sounds like he dose not want AD he said if your going to use him as just a OLB or just a DE then he is not special,

i think we all seen that he can't cover any more if he will sign for the vet min the jets will take a look. i say he ends up with the bills

"Jets suck, Yankees suck, Knicks suck"

Jets are NFL's off season dynasty!!

Yankees rule. I'm 43 and grew up in Connecticut, halfway between Boston & New York. I Connecticut, you can pick and choose between both cities teams to root for. In 1976, when I was 10, my Red Sox/Pats fan dad made me choose teams. The Sox justwere in The Series, but the Yanks were on local t.v. & the Sox weren't (back pre-cable), so I chose the Yanks.
For football, the Giants & Jets were on, but I loved The Pats, even though they kinda always sucked (this was right before the '76 season.

Well, boy did I hit the jackpot. Of the last 15 years, the most desirable football-baseball combination possible is Yankees/Patriots. 8 World Championships, 12 World Series/Super Bowl appearances, and 14 final fours... in FIFTEEN short years. The only 2 dynasties. I deserve every bit of it too.

So, Yankees DO rule and people in Connecticut are the only ones who can legitimately choose both Patriots AND Yankees as their home teams.

Glad I didn't choose The Sox. Bucky Dent & Aaron Boone, anyone? Eat it.

Think of the chip on AD's shoulder when he plays the Pats. I have nightmares of the 2008 version of Adalius Thomas in the Pats' backfield all day, only this time he's looking to give Brady the treatment he gave to Favre in 2008.

In western Mass you can choose Yankees too. There are almost as many Yankee fans in Northampton as there are Sox fans. I personally hate baseball, though.

They almost ended up with a winning record in the regular season in games that the other team tried to win. That is very, very good. They should be very, very proud.

what's the name of the only baseball to ever choke away a 3-0 series lead in the playoffs ? i can't quite think of it.

You must not be very bright come here talking about Aaron Boone when Rivera choked away the Series that very year. That's not even mentioning 2004. This is a Patriots board, you gotta figure most here greatly dislike your team. Dude only says "Yankees suck" and here you come, tooting your own horn and beliltlling Red Sox fans?

God damn, are Yankees fans annoying. "I deserve every bit of it too." ... yeah, tell us what role you played in the recent success of both those franchises, we're dying to hear. Dude comes into a random thread about Rex Ryan and the Jets and somehow sees it as an opportuniy to boast about how "awesome" it is being a Yankee fan. Get a grip, douchebag.

And Rex Ryan is just setting himself up for some epic meltdown. This attitude will sit well with the players until they start losing, or maybe even before that, considering the amount of Jets who voiced their discontent over some of the F.Os moves in the offseason. Boasting about his team's greatness in april can only come back to bite him in the ass.

lol at the idea that there is one place its OK to choose Yankees and Patriots, your allowed to do it anywhere its just a bit weird when you choose teams from 2 rival cities. Its funny seeing the insecure ones who try and justify it with complicated reasons.

Pewterpuffer is the reason they call it Cracknecticut...

I would love to see it........he really is nowhere near the player he thinks he is.

He did well in Baltimore because of the talent around him, same in NE in '07.

I can recall his four game stretch in '07 before his injury when he looked great and the superbowl after that (that was his best all around game). Beyond that, really, other than the Favre sack in '08 - what else did the guy do??

He defines the phrase "has been that never was".

Can't say I'm surprised then again who is? That quote about being first was cracking me up but hey what do you think he's going to say with or without him we are going to be last?

Be interesting to see how the Jests fare with so many cancerous personalities on the team.

Potential for a spectacular crash and burn.

Especially with a potentially rough start to the season. They could easily only have a couple of wins in the first 6 or 7 games.
