I've mentioned several times that I am very happy with this years draft class. It's the best, IMO, in several years and could be as good as the 2003 class.

I know that they are all prospects right now and have to prove it on the field. But there could be 5-6 quality starters come out of this class in 2 years. I think we well see major contibutions from several player this year.

But maybe some of you are not that happy with the class, so let's have a poll.

I was happy but still believe we need a RB.

I would be very happy except we did nothing to improve RB except an UDFA. That and I still need to see Cunningham prove it to me on the field on Sunday's as a pass rusher....we passed on some other pass rushers so I know BB had his sights on him.....but...he has been wrong before.

BB knows better than I do, and I can only question his decisions so much....but i like this draft class, we got a WR, which i wanted, we got a run stuffing hard hitting ILB, we got a potential pass rushing OLB, we got OL prospects, and we definetely got TE's (hopefully they show more success than our previous ones), and we got an exceptional CB as the cherry on top

i didnt necessary want a RB, i want to see what BJ can do in the season aganst starters

Im very happy with it, i think its better than last years. Combined with last years group its very impressive.

I was puzzled by the McCourty pick... there were other "names" on the board at the time that I was much more interested in.

But assuming Belichick knows more about football than I do, I'm willing to take his word for it that McCourty was the better choice.

The rest of the picks strike me as representing very good value - as well as the various moves back to pick up draft picks in the middle rounds and gain an additional 2011 2nd round pick for a 2010 3rd.

No one can truly grade a draft until the players have played for a year or two... sometimes three.

Agreed. Obviously only time will tell but looks like we have put together a real nice young core.

I think Hernandez is going to be a real nice surprise. There is no way Edleman was going to be able to replace Welker's production but with the addition of Hernandez and the types of routes I think he is going to be asked to run, I think the combination of Edleman/Hernadez can replace 80-85% of Welker's production.

I really like what they did day 2, in my opinion their best day EVER! Day 1, meh. Day 3 was OK. I'm sure BB knew which players from last years' team werent coming back heading into FA. In FA we sign our own guys, get Murrell, Warren, Lewis, and Crumpler. We lost Burgess, Thomas, Green, Watson, and Baker. I REALLY like Cunningham(my binky)but cutting Thomas means either we have to bring back Burgess, convert Guyton to OLB, or pin our hopes on Crable as a OLB. Green's spot wasnt addressed, and I know Deaderick is a favorite around here....but these hardly address on pass rushing need.

im happy with this draft the only thing that would have made it better for me is.

Arthur Jones, who went in the 5th to the ravens

a power back like Anthony Dixon, who went in the 6th round to the 49ers and some one to be just a 3rd down pass rusher like Greg Hardy, who went in the 6th to the panthers.

I'm happy with it. I would have liked a RB though.

I'm not worried about RB. I think we'll be fine for another year with the guys we have. LoMo has a lot on the line next season. Except for the fumbles, I think he was much improved last year. He ran decisively and with power and was excellent in the red zone.

I liked the draft a lot but I would have rather gotten another pass rusher instead of Hernandez. I think he'll be a good player but we already drafted Gronk and I felt that someone like O'brien Schofield or Thaddeus Gibson would have been a good prospect to develop.

I was happiest about trading down and getting solid returns.

Very happy about Gronkowski and Hernandez.
Taylor Price seems like a great developmental WR with a high ceiling.
I was really happy with the 6th and 7th rounders, Larsen, Welch and Deadrick.

Still iffy on McCourty. As a BE fan, he never really stood out. Could be because teams never really threw his way. We'll see.

I had no idea we would grab a guy like Cunningham in the 2nd round. I was stunned by that pick. But when I looked through the draft, I realized why it happened. There were very few Patriots type OLBs available in that range. Sergio Kindle, Carlos Dunlap and Daniel Teo-Nesheim. That's about it.

So, quite happy with the number of picks, with several players, with the late rounds.

Still questioning McCourty over Dez Bryant and Taylor Price over Mardy Gilyard.

I hate the Gaytors, but at least we picked some of the better ones.

I accidentally voted unhappy (my bad), but I am definitely happy. Nonetheless, I would be even happier if the Pats had drafted a 3-4 DE like Alex Carrington or Linval Joseph.

I'm thrilled with the draft class this year. I would have liked to see them make a move to get Everson Griffen when he was there in the 4th, I would have even liked to see him taken with one of those picks in the 3rd. All in all though it looks like they grabbed a lot of good players and it isn't a stretch to think they could get as many as 7 starters.

I'm with you on hating the Gators. I live in Southwest Florida and I want them to lose every game they play. Loved seeing Donko's reach big-time for Tebow in the first round. I thought our draft was solid, reserving judgement on Cunningham, Spikes and Hernandez till I see them in TC.

I love having teams to root against. Looking for the Raiders and Panthers to suck badly this year. This years draft and a similar banner crop next year with another 4 picks in the top 64.............. Too bad because I sorta like Fox as a coach but his team has to tank this year.

Would have liked a receiver a little higher and maybe a developmental RB, other than that Im happy.

This is actually one of my favorite picks since I can see him moving around and creating a lot of matchup problems.

He can even have a victory blunt after each win as far as I am concerned!
