Let's sign JaMarcus. He has that Patriot mentality written all over him.

Well, he does have the prototypical size to play the 5-technique in our scheme...

Hmmmm, maybe he's the "beast" PatJew was always talking about.

...or maybe he ate the "beast".

Al's afraid to give the Pats the #1 pick in the draft. It would be a bigger hit to his ego than admitting Russell is a bust.

That pick has got to hurt. Looks like Russell needs to make a new trip to the bling shop.

Not sure if he has the speed though.....if he dropped 40 pounds and got down to 260, maybe then he could work out for us there.

They paid Russell $39.4 million. If he's cut, he can retire and keep all of that money. I'm sure he loves his football, but still -- you can see how getting cut might not be the end of the world, can't you? ;)

He sounds like the type that can go through that cash in less than 2 years. And I doubt he will ever sniff that kind of countract (atleast in the NFL). So who knows.

Damn, is it possible that the Raiders will actually be good this year?

Between Davis and Cable, there's still plenty of opportunity for them to screw things up.

We can hope.

Russell?s enormous cost to the Raiders | National Football Post

"There you have it: $39.4M in cash committed with a potential $18M cap hit for a player it appears the Raiders can’t purge soon enough.
It’s hard to believe there’s ever been so much paid for so little.
Russell should be financially secure for life as well as his family. But he may soon have to declare bankruptcy on his career."

I think he may need to replace this...

Then again he may decide to keep it, after all it may be the only jersey he's going to be putting on anytime soon.

If true he's a useless and pathetic oaf of a thing that had no business in the NFL. Well done to Oakland.

Is it too early to put his name in on the "biggest bust of all time" listing?

He is no Ryan Leaf but he has to be up there pretty high...

Well Jason Campbell should be starting at QB for the Raiders this year so let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

I wonder if Al will apologize to Lane Kiffen for insisting that JaMarcus was a great player:p

Probably not...the world hasn't gone that bizarro yet

I wouldn't do it if I were Al. Kiffin is a HUGE douchebag.
