Are you ready? This actually looks plausible, although I'd rather see the Pats take Romeus or Clayborn with their first pick.

Great Blue North Draft Report

not bad but I rather have the 32nd pick next year :D

Interesting :
11 SEC players
10 ACC players
Heisman Trophy winner not a 1st rounder...in fact no RB in rd 1
4 NC 1st rounders...the Tar Heels shouldn't give up a FG all year I guess

Looks like we grab a Saban player with the Raiders pick, and a Urban player late in rd 1

How does one re-enter the draft (Mike Pouncey)?

Mark Ingram is going first round, barring an injury late in the season. And if he dropped to the Pats at the end of the first round, Bill would trade down with Cleveland or Washington to get their second round pick and fourth round pick.

Maurkice and Mike Pouncey are twins. One declared early so that the other could take over the center spot and improve his stock. Cool, huh?

I really question this mock, and not because it's so early. There are almost no offensive linemen at all! A mock without premium positions is probably just wishful thinking. Left tackles and stud defensive tackles always go high.

I'd be extremely happy with Baldwin, a little nonplussed with Bailey (a workout warrior who makes Mays look like an actual football player). My dream scenario involves us picking up Robert Quinn; after that it's all bonus, even though I'd love to add Baldwin or Ingram.

Let's just get one thing straight, there is absolutely a 0% chance the Patriots make 2 1st round picks. We have a year to prepare for the feelings of disappointment and frustration that come with trading down. Prepare yourself now and save yourself from 15000 word posts on how BB has finally lost it.

I want the best Defensive lineman in this draft. I have this nagging feeling that this is just the occasion{build up} of why Bill has been holding on to his Easter Eggs every year.

Cam Heyward would be an ideal 3-4 de. Or, maybe a guy like Robert Quinn de/olb gives us that great edge pass-rusher. I say not only will be pick up two guys. We will trade up to get our 2nd one. Heyward and one of the wr's. That's what I'm talking about!!

First draft in a while that's weak at OL.

Is there really a center at Florida named Pouncey who's going in the first round next year?

This draft looks slightly better at 3-4 DE/OLB than this year, but it's tough to predict this far out.

The Pouncey boys at Florida are twin brothers. Mike stayed. Marquice left early.

This already, my brain is on overload, and it will explode...

Hopefully some good running back prospects will enter the draft because we definitly could use one oder two with no running back sigend through 2011.

I'm relieved to see we at least won the division...

I guess that makes sense, so they aren't competing against each other for a draft spot

Also, I expect the Patriots to trade UP next year, not down.

3 reasons.

1. Rookie payscale makes trading up more attractive.
2. Lots of juniors jumped into the draft this year to take advantage of last year without pay scale.
3. If we are going to have a lockout, juniors will stay in college rather than twiddle their thumbs for a year.

Belichick may decide that this year's 7th round was stronger than next year's third round will be.

Take 4 guys, use 3rd, 4th, 5th rounders for moving around, call it a day.

Did Mark Ingram Die or what?

Just think about how many 2nd rounders we can get with that "value"!! We can own half the 2nd round!!:bricks:
