This is a signing I am excited about. Very durable WR with big frame 6'5 220 I think. Has not missed a game, and has a reception in every game (NCAA record- only 1 of 3 players to ever have that).

Downside is breakaway/separation speed, but compensates with athleticism.

He, along with Hernandez, are my sleeper picks.

Re: CMU WR Brian Anderson Signs With Pats

Also, correct name is Bryan Anderson, not Brian.

Re: CMU WR Brian Anderson Signs With Pats

I like this signing a lot....big target....good hands....somebody for the practice squad at least.....I hope he's more than training camp fodder.....Moss is our only big target.....well Moss and Gronk now...no, not counting Aiken.

Re: CMU WR Brian Anderson Signs With Pats

I REALLY like this signing. Looks like he has some real upside.

Must confess don't know much about this guy, I love his size(that's what she said) does anybody know if he was Dan Lefevour's #1 target?

He was the #1 big play WR on his team if that's what you mean. 6'5, 215 lbs. Looks like Anderson slipped through the cracks. Did we get a 4th round talent for free? :D

Another guy who might be worth a look as a UDFA is Scott Long.

Dang looks like the 49ers got him.

Here's who we've got so far:

Dane Fletcher, DE, Montana State
Bryan Anderson, WR, CMU
Sergio Brown, S, Notre Dame
Kyle Love, DL, Mississippi State
Ross Ventrone, S, Villanova

classic case of WR caught under a developing QB (which is why his productivity slipped his last 2 years).

Re: CMU WR Brian Anderson Signs With Pats

Haven't heard much about him really but a 6 foot 5 receiver who is durable catches my attention. Hopefully he can compete as the #4 or possibly #3 receiver.

Mods, this ought to be merged with the UDFA thread.

No! He's going to stand out from the rest of the UDFA signings! He deserves his own thread. :D

Actually he is a possession receiver, Antonio Brown was the big play receiver

Lefevour was not a developing quarterback
Take some of the input around here with a grain of salt, our draftynik forum fought over him pretty thoroughly - I wish him luck.

ya hes had some decent production and seemed pretty consistent like the signing

Lefevour was not a developing quarterback

Anderson's size -- 6-feet-5, 215 pounds -- is professional all the way. His speed is iffy. So are diminishing statistics the past two years, although much of that is attributable to quarterback Dan LeFevour's maturation in going through his progressions and fellow wide receiver Antonio Brown's emergence as a star.
