49ers signed Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount.

I thought he was a pretty good RB in collage and he was not drafted.

I thought Minnesota drafted him. Regardless, he went undrafted because of the punch heard 'round the world. I thought he would have been a solid UDFA pick up myself...

Hold on, I gotta play a quick game of NCAA '10 using him and I'll let you know whether I agree with your sentiment

Never mind. Now I know why he wasn't drafted.

I heard one channel, either ESPN or more likely NFLN, say Blount's attitude royally sucked even before "the punch". Chronically late, dogging it at practice, arguing with his coaches and teammates, etc.

Doesn't sound like someone who'ld last more than a day in Foxboro. I wonder if he pulls that crap with Mike Singletary...and survives.

That's it in a nutshell ...

Bloundt announced a day before the draft that he was the best running back of all the players.

Sounds arrogant and ****y without any basis for such a stupid statement,He could not polish CJ Spiller's jock,or Mathews for that matter.

Maybe he is related to AD with the sarcasm

....No thanks

He was excellent in collage, but his watercolors sucked.

He was undrafted because he had character issues and his upside is somewhere between Ron Dayne and TJ Duckett. He's not good

No. And no one else could for over six rounds.

The patriots have two "starters", one young and one older.
The patriots have two "backups", one young and one older.
And we have a great 3rd down back.

Running backs don't need development. They should be drafted when needed. We'll assess the running backs after the season.

As of three weeks ago, we needed a corner, a defensive lineman, tight ends, help at LB, a starting WR, a developmental WR and a punter. We got it all in the draft except the defensive lineman. We adressed all these needs. We signed Holt, Crumpler, Lewis and Warren, and drafted eight players at positions of need, plus a couple of developmental OL's and a developmental quarterback.
