I have much respect for faneca, but he is past his prime and was the weakest link on the Jets O line.

I understand Faneca was on the books for 7 mil and the Jets only save 2 mil by cutting him and have to pay the other 5 still.

I am on the fence about cutting him, but we should not make the mistake of overrating him.

I think you may have nailed it here. Im sorry to see him go b/c he was a thrilling player and great guy but he did turn down the contract offered last year then had a compound fracture. The nature of the beast, RB's are replaceable

This team SHOULD have made a deep run to the SB the following two years, but Carroll and Grier put the kibosh on that. I think Seattle is in for a rude awakening once reality sets in.
