for their 89th.. just said on NFL network, that is stealing. Next year two first rounds and two second round picks.. so far.

I will say that BB knows how to work the draft board from year to year better than anyone else in the league. Seems like every year we have multiple 1s and 2s.

Definitly a steal.

If the Panthers win the Super Bowl, it would a move up of 25 spots. If they don't make the playoffs, 38 spots, minimum.

Sets us up great for next year. Unreal. :D:D

I am thrilled about this move as long as they don't trade those picks to move down next year.

Great move they're killing this draft and i mean that in a good way.

With two 3rds out of nowhere, as well as 3 2nds, you knew a deal like this was going to happen. Very nice move.

and took Taylor Price with the 90th :rocker:

love having multiple picks for the next draft. Makes the season all that more fun. More teams to be interested in. First, watch the Pats. Second, find out how the Raiders did. Third, same for the Panthers. BB always makes it fun.

does it really matter?...he,s just going to trade it for a 2012 second round pick...;)

We got Carolina's 2nd round pick in 2011

We got Carolina's 2nd round pick in next years draft for #89.

We now have 2 first's & 2 seconds in next years draft.

Imagine the future picks BB can get with those.

BB is amazing. In exchange for going back nine spots in the mid 2nd, BB essentially picks up a mid 2nd, wow.
I think both the cardinals and the panthers overpaid on these deals(the cards gave us picks 58 & 89 for 47; and the panthers gave us a 2011 2nd for the 89 we got from the cards)

Imagine the move in one step, with the cards saying we'll give you 58 and a 2nd next year for 47. I dont think anybody would refuse that

I feel like someone in the Pats organization should have an office bet with BB that he can't turn a 2010 7th round pick into a 2018 1st round pick. I know, I know, we don't know if BB will be around in 2018 ( I sure hope so, though!!), but I almost feel like BB's draft day patience and trades would give this one about a 50/50 shot. :)

I'm going to say it now and Carolina without a known QB will be drafting in the top 10, probably top 5. BB may have just converted the 89 into 40. That's unreal.

He was doing that for a while -- 7th to 6th, then 6th to 5th, and so on. I think it stopped when he did anything he could to trade out of 2007.

The thing i have been thinking about with this is there are only a few coaches that can do this trade into next year consistently because they have job security... i mean why would a coach on the chopping block trade picks when they need to win now... BB has that luxury. And by god does he use it

Not sure I would bet against it lol
