We ARE going to draft a DE in round 2...I am almost 99% sure we won't leave that area bare, unless we drop 2 picks into the third or fourth

If so,which of these DEs do you want?

I also like Price and Griffen...this second round is stacked on defense and its going to be much better and tons more fun than that solo in round one, with all these talented guys I really am surprised by the gloom and doom of McCourty

BTW: I want Dunlap,he will be a good one - Joseph is the sleeper of this draft

Is it true Misi did 2 reps at 225 at the Combine? If thats true he has to absolutely be off the NE Patriots board. That is a total lack of functional strength to play in the NFL. I also saw he ran a 4.81 forty. Seems slow for a 3-4 OLB. I thought he was a workout wonder? Can somebody help me out here?

Everything I read about him said he was a guy the Pats would like and that he played in a hybrid DE/OLB role in college.

I'm going to bed pretty soon (man this draft has sleep deprived me for the last few months doing research and whatnot, I'm crazy!) praying to God that we draft Carlos Dunlap!!!

I'm going to make a prediction that all 4 of those players aren't even on the Pats board.

I doubt that,maybe 1 or 2 but not all 4

I bet 2 of them will be gone by 44 though

Kindle will be long gone, and Dunlap we still be there for our last pict in the second round (if we want him). If we are lucky both Joseph and Misi are on the board for our first pick #44. I saw Joseph at the combine and he is a physical beast. Just pick Joseph!

We're going to take Corey Wootton. You can book it. I'd like Eric Norwood as a 3rd down rush specialist at the top of the 3rd as well/ The other option is Daniel Teo-Neisham later. I dont see us taking Kindle, its obvious he wasnt high on our board. He's like Brown or Maualuga last year. We have passed on him 3 times. Bil doesnt want him

I heard a rumor Kindle needs microfracture surgery on his knee, there is a reason 32 teams passed on him including 4 teams with big OLB needs late ( NE NJ MIA NO )

If I had to put $ down on a pick it would be Wootton, I hear the Pats are very high on him.

Whoa, let's wipe out that bizarre rumor asap! Misi didn't do the bench press at the Combine because of a wrist sprain, but he put up 27 reps at his pro day.

Yeah I heard injury issue re: Kindle too.

He's on the Pats board though. So it's a matter of whether the rumor is sourced anywhere - anyone have a link to anything other than someone else heard a rumor?

If he'll be long gone by 44, there's that. If not... thanks for the rumor! If everybody's responding to the same rumor and we can get him for a late 2nd or a 3rd or 4th, so much the better.

And if we don't, um, we weren't supposed to anyway, kool aid consumed, all better.

I want Dunlap AND Misi. Is that greedy?

But...

Last night I dreamed that that the Pats waited and waited for an OLB then took Everson Griffin. I woke up a little queasy.

Misi or Edds plus Te'o-Nesheim.

Whatever happens, I hope we spend a mid rounder on Austen Lane.

Kindle would be great but doesn't seem likely. So my hope is Austen Lane or Misi with the 53rd pick. Honestly I would like to see us focus on offense with the 44th and 47th picks.

the 1st went:
19 defense
13 offense

so the value available is greater on the offensive side of the ball. Charles Brown, Saffold, Ducasse, Gronkowski, Golden Tate along with Colt and Clausen are all available.

If we could come away with Saffold, Gronkowski and Austen Lane I'd be very happy.

What makes you queasy about Griffen, patchick? (I have my own reasons, but I'm curious about yours.)

If OLB and DE/DL got to Foxboro in this round, I feel like I'll be able to breathe this weekend. If not, I'll need the heimlich. :help:

I think Ricky Sapp will be our guy. Miami will grab Kindle if we don't trade up. Also, what if BB surprises us again and takes Taylor Mays(OLB conversion)?

Don't be surprised if Misi is there for the Pats in the third

Really, you have inside info on that Pats draft board? What, are you NEinsider or something? Do share...

You are correct on Kindle. Microfracture surgery for the knee is the rumor going around. I wouldn't want to risk a 2nd on him with so many other good players available.

Kindle has...... Narcolepsy
Attention Deficit Disorder
Knee Problems

Looks to me now as if what we thought was going to be a 1st round choice could drop out of the second...this guy is a good player but has some serious baggage that few teams will take a chance on.

I am betting now NE has not even had him on thier boards
