Pats get a CB, an extra 4, and trade a 4 for a 3.

Excellent in terms of the number of picks coming up in the next couple rounds, in terms of the player they selected and what they could of have, I could only hope they made the right move.

I agree with that.

Alas, that is the nature of any pick.

i said fail only because. with odrick, and kindle still on the bord after. tradeing down. and picking up a 3rd they draft a ST/#4... CB i think they could have had him or a CB like donovan warren, in the 3rd round. but im hopeing for a pass rusher day 2.

I think people would feel about the same way if we took an OL or a Safety with the first pick....OL and S would be about the same as drafting a CB

meh...same feeling as last year....

You forgot another category, epic fail. Which is what this pick was.

meh, Dont mind the McCourty pick but I think Bryant would make more of an impact early and thats what I want from a first round pick. The one thing about trading down that disappoints me is that I dont think it shows alot of commitment to a prospect. I dont think the Patriots like saying, "this is our guy, if hes around when were picking were taking him." We seem more than willing to take whats available. Hope these third rounders work out.

Absolute WIN. 1st round caliber CB and a 3rd round pick = WIN.

There was tons of talent sitting there, trading down was great for me.

I think we need to add a "ask me after tomorrow" to the poll.

The thought of this pick will certainly change up or down based on who we pick up on Day 2.

i'm kinda surprised the pats passed on dez bryant. moss is gone next year and he would have been perfect filling in while welker is out. if the pats got dez, it would have scared me as a jets fan. that said, i like mccourty just not who the pats passed up on to take him.

happy draft weekend all!!!

I'm starting to wonder WTF is BB thinking during these past few years drafts. Last year, there were 3 stud LB's staring us in the face and we picked Chung. This year, we had Bryant and other help with the LB corps, and BB picks a friggen ST player. What's going to happen in the final rounds, pick nothing but punters and kickers, how about finding a quality waterboy for round two. Come on Bill, get your head out of your ***** and stop wasting picks!

As I said in a previous thread, I'm disappointed over the Bryant pick AND us forking over our 3rd for your 4th. 1) We should have gotten an OL in the 1st b/c we're ageing and have no depth, and 2) With that 3rd, we could have picked a S/G, I'm sure gems will fall in there.

OL would've been a heckuva lot better than DB. Koppen can be upgraded and Neal is never healthy... still don't like this pick at all.

Loved the trades, should've just kept trading down if you're going to take another CB

I voted "Meh" because I see this pick as a little like opening a savings account. It's much more boring than going out and blowing your money, but at the end of the day it's the right thing to do.

You can never have enough corners in this league and frankly, I'm not exactly wowed with BB's ability to evaluate, draft and develop WRs.

I'm more concerned about what will happen tomorrow. That's where there's real potential to **** the bed.
