I had this incredible dream last night, its started off with excitement as the draft started with the Lions taking Bradford with the first pick. I was not shocked by any pick until crazy Al stepped up and took Dez Bryant with the 8th pick.

The dream started to turn sour as Graham and Kindle went off the board before 22. But then I realised its ok, Jerry Hughes is still there.

And then it was announced,

with the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select

Tim Tebow:eek:

The noise was deafening, I couldn't hear myself think! There were screams, roars and then it showed the Patriots fans, some jumping up and down in delight but most with shocked looks of despair on their faces.

I didn't know what to do, so I tried to log on to Patsfans.com but the site was down. I knew it was because all Tebow's fans were regging up as New England Tim Tebow Patriots fans.

A day went by and still no luck getting on, finally I got to log on to be told that Ian was considering offers to sell the site.

All the nations top chainstores were offering him money, he also received a huge offer from the baptist church and focus on the family.
Security was at an all time high with Ian having to hire Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal among others for personal protection and Kevin Mitnick for his online safety!

I eventually awoke from my nightmare when Bill Belichick announced in his post draft press conference that he was in fact a member of the same church as Tebow and that he would be starting Tebow and trading Tom Brady before training camp.

Hope you enjoyed that, I'm sure it won't last too long but its just a bit of fun. :D

After tonight our long nightmare will be over.

Alf sort of resembles Teboy

I think that drafting Jean Shorts Jesus anytime would send me up the wall, at #22 might cause me (and many other people here ) to swear off the Patriots just like I did with the Red Sox when they blew game #7 in 2003.

Although my TV did survive that night, I'm not sure if it would survive JSJ at #22. I know that my keyboard will be DOA.

The giggle factor would be off the charts

That is the most frightening nightmare I have ever heard. Did you wake up screaming? If that actually happened, I would be on the next flight to Foxboro to punch Bill in the nose. lol

**** Tebow @22. USELESS pick.

Tim Tebow will be a Patriot, mark my words, but it will happen in the second round.

After watching Tebow with Gruden on ESPN the other night, I could only think that Tebow is a Belichick guy; Gruden was definitely blown away and seemed to react more favorably to him than he did to Clausen or Bradford.

The problem is obvious: we already have a HOF QB playing at the top of his powers and I doubt they'd bring him in to play another position. But if he's still on the board at 44, he'll probably still be there at 53...and I could see it happening.

I don't expect Tebow to last until the second round.

I watched that too. I was left with the impression that Tebow is a pretty serious, motivated young man. I have nothing against Tebow. Just don't see the need to spend one of the team's top 4 picks on him regardless of value when there are higher priorities with the pass rush, D-line and perhaps WR and TE that need more attention.

Clausen seems like a total steak-head.
