The Rams are close to sending DE Adam Carriker to the Redskins for a 5th-round pick per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cue DW Toys complaining that we could've had him for a fourth and that there's absolutely no way whatsoever our fourth round pick can outplay Adam Carriker for the duration of his contract.

Carriker might have been a bad fit in St. Louis, but he's still 3/4 of the way to being a bust. If he isn't one already.

The Rams have nothing -- literally nothing -- at DL and they let him go for a 5th rounder.

Is Carriker even any better than, say, Mike Wright? I doubt it.

It's actually not for a 5th. It's for a swap of the teams 5th round picks, so the Skins still have a 5th after the trade. I believe the Rams just pick five places sooner, for the chance to unload Carriker.

I am not even going to get into an argument over Carriker.


But you think maybe BB wants to hold onto that pick. After the first 2 rds we don't have that many picks that can be traded and I doubt BB wants to move one more tradable pick before the draft even starts nor does he want to sit there and watch rds 3-4-5 and not be able to get anything.

Hey, it's everybody's favorite draft pick from 2007! Of course, seeing how he turned out, it doesn't surprise me that people haven't learned their lesson and still want Jared Odrick.

So by the standards of other failed trades, what is almost assuredly another failed move is a great deal for the Redskins.
