Damn, you're so badass.

You know it.....If you want to really see a badass check out my workout buddy.....Go youtube his last fight.....

His name is Ryan McGowan and he beat Deon west in 30 Seconds at the MMA event held here in baltimore last month.....I can't put up the link because you tube is blocked here.....

I just love to fight....Can't help it....

lmao anybody who needs to try so hard to convince everybody how tough he is[on the internet no less lol] usually isn't.

I can just imagine what you wear on a daily basis. Let's start off at the head with a "Punisher" hat...

...then fill out the midsection with a nice TAPOUT! T-Shirt (for all intents and purposes, this could also be an Ed Hardy and/or Affliction shirt)...

...of course we have to include the ever popular jorts (jean shorts). I mean, why not look like John Cena?...

...and then we round things off with a pair of black Converse shoes...

Sprinkle in some ridiculous tattoos which may or may not include a dragon and a skull with some flames and high socks and you have the basic MMA douchebag wannabe uniform.

Bash all you want but this team will make the playoffs.....It makes me sick with all of these fans that love the boston teams when you do good and when they are going through a rough patch they bash them.....Absolutely ridiculous.....Go root for the yankees then or the phillies....We don't want you rooting for the Red Sox anyways.....Leave that for the real fans.....Even if we are 50-90 at the point I go to the O's/Red Sox game I will still be there body painted red and rooting for my time.....Maybe you guys should take some lessons in how to be a TRUE FAN!!!!!

No offense... But have you lived around here long? (Serious question).

Around here as in Baltimore? Yes I have lived here for 18 years.....

Oh and Kontradiction you are way off on the outfit...I wear a Red Sox/Celtics/Patriots/Bruins cap depending on whichever I feel like with a blue/red/black skull cap underneath......I wear lots of T-shirts but no MMA shirts.....I wear baggy jeans with a pair of Timbs or Jordans....I have big rocks in both ears......There it is if you really cared to know......And I work in D.C. and most of the dudes down there know better than to mess with a crazy 6'7" 350lb white guy.......

So you are pretty much unfamiliar with how the relationship between the Boston/NE based fans and the team works.

When they suck a heavy one... we *****, whine, complain, and (yes) even BOO the **** out of them. We spend all day talking and listening to people ***** and whine about them sucking on local sports radio. We bash the GM, manager, and fading, unproductive, and overpaid "stars". That 86 year championship drought.. it's left some very permanent damage on our psyche.

But 7pm every night... Our sets are tuned into NESN, our radios are tuned into 850AM... our ears are tuned into Don/Remi or Joe C. and we live and die with each pitch.

It's a classic love/hate relationship. Always has been. Always will be.

Yeah I know but I don't understand it....I wouldn't want to play for a team that booed the hell of out of me if I am having a down season or having a bad couple of games.....I don't like the orioles or ravens but I don't hear the same stuff coming from their mouths and the O's SUCK BAD!!!!!!They are still optomistic and cheer their players.....We as Boston fans aren't any better than yankees fans because they do the same stuff you mentioned above.....Oh well I guess the players have to expect it playing for boston teams as that's how it's been......

I'd say Boston fans are more loyal to guys than NY fans. Just look at the case of Ortiz being cheered all year last year until he broke out versus Jeter being booed in APRIL AND MAY for starting off cold a few years ago. That said yes, we overreact, we whine, we crap on our teams when they're doing poorly, but a lot of players say that same intensity is what can make Boston the best place to play. Ask a guy like Schilling or Bruschi, or Cam Neely and they just ate it up.

As for this year its not looking good right now. They took a mediocre offense and made it worse. Even if they make the playoffs as currently constructed I don't think they have the pop in the lineup to beat good pitching. It will be the 2009 Angels series all over again.

I also hope I am eating these words come October!

That is why certain guys just can't play here (or NY), they can't take the heat of the fans and media (Renteria, Clement). While other players thrive in it (Schilling, Pedro).

The fanbase is passionate, but rabid. With the money the bleed from us... ($75 parking, $7 beer, out of control ticket prices) it affords us the right to be critical when it's called for. JMO.

I hope so too.....If they don't start hitting I can forsee A. Gonzalez traded to the Sox sooner than later.....

Oh yeah there are more Sox fans in Camden Yards (O's) and they say it is cheaper to come down here for a whole series then it is to go to 1 game at Fenway....

At this point I'd be happy with them getting the other A Gonzalez (Alex) back, all he does when he's here is hit .300 and play gold glove defense!!!

Might take a real king's ransom to get Adrian from SD, especially with a former Sox employee running the show out there. Boy he sure would be a nice add though wouldn't he? Any other big bats out there they've got a shot at?

Prince Fielder is rumored to be available.

I do.....Trust me if you saw me in person I doubt you tell me anything different....It took 6 cops at an O's/Red Sox game to throw me out....That's all I will say about that.....

i was just trying to make a joke...but obviously you have some sort of chemical imbalance in your brain. 6 cops, wow i am impressed, your mother must be so proud.

Normally I'd agree with you - but the reason people are having trouble rooting for this team right now has little to do with their record. Sox passion in this area has been dwindling the past couple seasons, and it will probably bottom out this season unless they make some major rehauls.

As it is now, me - someone who a few years ago could hardly miss an at-bat - can hardly watch a game. Theo may have collected the single most boring roster I've seen in sports history. And at best its boring, at worst its downright unlikeable. Youkilis is an annoying whiny buffoon, Papelbon is a moron, Beckett won't pitch to anyone but Tek, Ortiz hasn't been the same guy (playing-wise or personality wise) since Manny left town. Dice-K is unwatchable, Buccholz a mystery. Who is left? Lester is a great story. Ellsbury is mildly likeable. Pedroia is a cool guy. That's it. The rest of this team is just a bunch of guys in a Red Sox jersey.

They're boring. I refuse to root for the jersey. I root for players. I don't care much for these players. They need to add some personality.

Luckily I'm a 7'3" 580lb Asian guy so I don't have to worry.

ya us boston fans suck:rolleyes:. not only do we sell out fenway every night. we also sell out Camden yards every series the redsox play down there. give me a break please. im glad redsox fans boo players and the team when they suck. it shows we care and aren't interested in kissing the players ass. the players are big boys they can take it. if they cant take it they shouldn't be in boston anyway.
