Boston Celtics' Kevin Garnett suspended for Game 2 vs. Miami Heat - ESPN

I'm a Heat fan (who does not mind the Celtics at all). IMO, what Garnett did was wrong but he should not be suspended for Game 2 given that he was already ejected in Game 1. Quentin Richardson also has a big mouth for someone who averages 8 points a game. I'm pulling for the Heat but the Celts should win this one in six.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that he got suspended....According to the article I read Richardson came over to get the ball and throw it in right away not to check on Pierce and see if he was ok.....KG just nudged him away at first before O'Neal and Haslem came over to make something more out of it.....I think if KG got suspended so should of richardson because nothing would have happened if he wasn't such a JACKASS......

Also I don't think it was smart for Joakim Noah to start running his mouth seeing as this situation had nothing to do with him.....He will get his next season I will guarantee that.....

Noah needs to be more worried about the Cavs and Shaq and not getting completely embarassed in the first round.

Garnett's second elbow to get back one of the Heat players that was intentionally provoked got him the ejection and suspension...as usual they don't get the one responsible but rather the one who retaliates

The Heat are lucky that none of their bench players were given a one game suspension for "leaving the bench area" for getting in the middle of the scuffle- near the bench or not they left the bench to get involved which if this was the regular season would have netted each one of them a game

I agree....the commentators were talking about this while the scuffle was going on that almost there whole bench came onto the floor.....I remember people have gotten suspensions for taking 2 steps onto the court while a scuffle was going on and they actually came onto the floor.....This is ridiculous...

Wow, easy win without KG. This series is all Celtics, now.

I thought they moved the ball better without KG....They didn't rely on KG or Pierce playing 1 on 1 for most of the game.....I really like Big Baby in there as he is really active and knows where to be....I think this was a win-win situation.....We blew out the heat and KG has almost a full week to rest his old body.....Couldn't have been any better outcome....

Oh yeah, the Heat will get swept. I'll be pleasantly shocked to see them take one game in Miami, but it isn't going to happen. The Heat just doesn't have the big men to compete with the Celts. Jermaine O'Neal is about as soft as it gets and is a horrible shooter (me and my friend counted 9 times that he missed a shot when he wasn't any further away than the free throw line in the second quarter before we stopped counting). Boston has dominated them on the boards, in the paint, and from beyond the arc. Good news is that if he Heat get blown out again, you can expect big moves to be made in the offseason to try to put some big bodies and talent around Wade (like they tried to do with Amare earlier this year).

If the Celtics continue to play defense like they have been, they will be a tough out for anyone, though I still honestly can't see them getting past Cleveland or Orlando.
