5 days away so I had better get my version of how I think things will go down on Thursday night.

1) Rams - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma

Franchise QB needed on this team bad....plus a few play makers to go along with Jackson but they will have to wait till round 2.

2)Lions - Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State

What can I say when you pick a Franchise QB 1st overall you should protect him. Last year the Lions OL gave up 2.4 sack per game when Stafford was at QB, a stat which needs to get better for the Lions to get better.

3) Buc's - Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma

This guy just fits their scheme better then Suh plus Mayock still has McCoy rated higher and I for one listen to the man. To get a guy with his size with the blend of athleticism and power is just what Tampa needs.

4) Skins - Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma

Shanny goes for protection for McNabb rather then BPA to replace big Albert with Suh. Williams is an athletic LT who will need to improve his blocking on run but in Shanahan's scheme he will be receiving some help on run he just has to keep McNabb clean.

5) Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa

I really think that Pioli is going to address the Lines again and I think that Bulaga is the pick here. I know he is a reach but so was Jackson last year in my opinion but a trade would be possible or Suh. Three #1 picks in a row on DL would sound more like the Texans then the Chiefs.

6) Seahawks - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska

Yes I think right now he slides down to #6 and the Seahawks just can not pass up on a guy like this. I know I will get some flack for having him this low but it is fun to not just fallow the norm.

7) Clevland - Eric Berry, S, Tennessee

Well this guy fills a need and is the BPA and could have a great career in Cleveland. He will add to Troy P and Ed Reed as a conference where you do not want to throw the ball deep...except Cincy:D

8) Raiders - Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland

I could go with someone else but why defy Al Davis logic and go with the athletic freak who fills a need. I really though they could not take DHB last year but true to form that was the name at #7 which made me laugh.

9) Bills - Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame

Time to see if this guy is really the most ready NFL QB because he will be starting day one for a very QB hungry team. He has experience playing in cold weather but does he have the maturity to lead a very young team??

10) Jacksonville - Joe Haden, CB, Florida

I just think they will get a good pass rusher later in the draft to compliment Kampmen. To get a CB who may make a difference against Manning worth the sacrifice IMO.

11) Bronco's - Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama

There is a big void in the middle of that much improved defense with the loss of Andra Johnson (well not really). With the way McDanials has dismantled that offence he better make sure that defense keeps him in games.

12) Dolphins - Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech

Miami just will not be able to pass up this guy with the loss of Porter and Taylor. I think this guy will play well with Cam Wake opposite him.

13) 49'rs - Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers

Fills a need at RT is a must as Tony Pashos was out for the year, while Adam Snyder allowed like 10 sacks. Finding an upgrade here is the 49ers' greatest priority IMO and Davis could be a steal here when Mike whips him into shape.

14) Seahawks - Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State

The Seahawks have been talking WR all offseason and yet still missed out on Holmes, Bolden and Marshal.

15) Giants - Sean Weatherspoon, ILB, Missouri

The Giant LB last year near the end where the worse I have seen in a while for them. You guys think Spikes is slow Antonio Pierce must run like a 5.5 second forty and Weatherspoon will fit nicely in NY.

16) Titans - Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida

The Titans need a DE as bad as anyone in the draft with the loss of Haynesworth and Vanden Bosh they need a passrush and love those workout warriors.

17) 49rs - Earl Thomas, FS, Texas

I think they are going to fill the back end with a quality player who has great speed, athleticism and instincts.

18) Steelers - Kyle Wilson, CB/PR, Boise State

CB is a huge need for the Steelers as well as WR but this is too high for a WR and Wilson can help out in the return game. OL was a possibility but they just never seem to address it.

19) Falcons - Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan

Atlanta needs to find a DE of the future so I would say that it would be either Griffen or Graham but knowing Dimitroff I think he goes with Graham as better value.

20) Texans - C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson

Fills a need and is the best value for the Texans at #20

21) Bangels - Taylor Mays, S, USC

Too good a prospect to pass up for Zimmerman and fills a need with another USC defender on that defense.

22) Patriots - Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma

We just do not have a TE on the roster who can play....I mean Crumpler is alright as a 6th OL. Gresham is a first-round talent who could fall because of his knee injury and I think is our best value at #22.

23) Packers - Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers

They have two good corners and Woodson might have a few year left but they have to get some help opposite him. Al Harris will struggle to regain his form at 35 y/o so I think McCourty is the right pick and move Tramon Williams to nickle.

24) Eagles - Everson Griffen, DE, USC

Victor Abiamiri ??? Well and upgrade is needed here and I was torn between Griffen and Dunlop. In the long run I though Griffen would be the best fit opposite Trent Cole and more Andy Reids type of DE.

25) Ravens - Jared Odrick, DE/DT, Penn State

They have a great DL but could use some depth with a young kid who fits their system and will be a player for years.

26) Cardinals - Charles Brown, OT, USC

Cardinals get great value with Brown who might be suited up as their starting RT from day one.

27) Cowboys - Mike Iupati, G, Idaho

The brass down in Texas I hear are very high on Iupati plus it is close enough to round two for Jerry Jones to pull the trigger. If they can teach the guy to keep his hands inside I think he will pave the way for some long runs by Felix the cat.

28) Chargers - Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama

Yes everyone thinks RB and I struggled with Cody vs Mathews but I think they will find a RB to compliment Sproles but Cody is one of a kind. If he can keep his weight down in SD then would be a great choice at the end of the first.

29) Jets - Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, TCU

I really looked hard at DL but I thought that Jason Taylor is not the answer and they think they can get this guy at 29 and I agree.

30) Vikings - Maurkice Pouncey, C/G, Florida

John Sullivan did not work out as planed and Anthony Herrera could use an upgrade. Protecting Farve and opening up holes for AP is a good way to go in round one.

31) Colts - Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee

Just the one gap penatrator this team has needed for years. OT is a strong possibility here as well.

32) Saints - Brian Price, DT, UCLA

The Saints need help in the middle with Ellis and Price has the measurable to dominate and shut down the middle. I reach here for sure but they need more then Alex Brown fix that DL.

This one is not starting well!!

Football, war, bacon, and mock drafts... the four things Canadians don't do well.

I hate it when people have us taking a TE in the first round. They are always based around 2 ideas.

Idea #1: Bill likes taking TE's in rd 1.
Just because he did it twice doesn't mean he has a stiffy for TE's. We have no idea how he evaluated talent in those drafts. Perhaps Graham was just the best value he saw at that pick because he didn't think there were any other players at the other positions that graded out as 1st rounders. Let's not forget that Watson was the 32nd pick. He was basically a high 2nd rounder and might have been a luxury pick in Bills eyes.
This line of thinking is as insane as slamming your breaks every time you come to a point in the road, where you once had an accident. Just because it hapened there once, doesn't mean it will again. The circumstances have to be exactly the same.

Idea #2: since we have a shortage at the position, we MUST be planning to fill it in the 1st rd. That is insane!
We have shortages at every position. If he can fill those in later rounds, he can certainly fill TE in later rounds.

If BB sees Gresham as the best player available by a mile.. Then he will bite. If its not a huge difference, he grabs a bigger need/impact.
