OT: Chad Jackson returns to the division...

Bills announced that the team has signed free agent WR Chad Jackson and re-signed restricted free agent CB Ashton Youboty.

So far, their plan to become competitive doesn't frighten me. Anyone else? Not like the Dolphins and Jets won't keep us busy enough.

We all were. When I read the piece about how BB and JMcD had him diagram plays, route adjustments, etc in the visit and passed the test, I was sure he'd be a stud in Year 2.

The kid just wasn't football "smart", at least when it came to our system.

I watched him closely at Florida and thought he was going to be the real deal, also.

Oh well.

On another note, there is just so much the Boston media would do with a guy named "Your Booty" (think Ron Borges & Gerry Callahan and absolutely ENDLESS KC & The Sunshine Band references), but the Buffalo hacks have just let that one slide right on by...

I'm not sure what was wrong with Chad Jackson. It's easy to say he wasn't football smart but all signs show that he understood things in the pre draft visit before he was drafted here, so i don't think it was that.

Watching him return kick offs and play in the pre season, imo his biggest problem was a severe lack of acceleration and speed in pads. He may have run 4.32 at the combine, but he sure didn't look that fast in pads.

Add to the fact that i think he got even slower after the injury, and you have yourself a bust.

I really would like to know what happened. He'll, Crable has lasted longer on this team and he hasn't seen a regular season game yet.

i wonder what happened to CJ after he was let go by Denver before he signed with Buffalo.

That could be the case. Seems commonplace for pro athletes to fully recover from ACL surgeries when we forget how serious of an injury it really is. I know I take it for granted a little....

Maybe ole Chad had some complications and just couldn't make it back..?

Funny thing about it is that the Bills already have a player similar to Chad Jackson in some respects; that's James Hardy. Both were second round picks that tore their ACL early. Both have had one-catch seasons.

Also, both still have a chance to prove something.

Add me to the list that thought that adding Maroney and C Jackson to Brady's arsenal would make this team unstoppable by year 2.

The way I hear it is that Jackson's attitude and work ethic isn't there. Just seems to be one of those guys who isn't willing to work hard to hone his god given skills. The anti-Jerry Rice. Too bad.
