As of now the Patriots have 7 picks on the 6th and 7th rounds. Four of those cannot be traded. This is where we start panning for gold. We all use different draft sites and materials to look at players.

How about we start listing,by position, player that may be "finds' in these rounds?

First up WR's.

David Gettis, Baylor

Kelvin Tindal, Newberry College.

Chastin West, Fresno

Scott Long, Louisville (binky alert)

Bryan Anderson, Central Michigan (as above)

Mike Williams, Syracuse (massive red flags, but what a talent)

Kyle Williams, Arizona State

Shay Hodge - Mississippi, 6'1"/209/ 4.62
Emmanuel Sanders - Southern Methodist, 5'11"/189/ 4.40
Seyi Ajirotutu - Fresno State, 6'4"/204/ 4.60
Freddie Barnes - 6'0"/215
Kerry Meier - Kansas, 6'2"/224/ 4.62

I like some of those names but here are a few more.

Stephen Williams, Toledo - Ran faster then people thought and had mad production

Eric Decker, Minnesota - I think he is a great WR but will never me a #1

Armanti Edwards, Appalachian State - QB conversion.....I call him tiny Tim Tebew

Danario Alexander- Missouri
Trindon Holliday- LSU
Alric Arnett- WVU
Marcus Easley- Conn. (will probably be gone by the 6th now, unfortunately)

A couple of the WR's mentioned in other posts here, I also have marked as possible 7th rounds.

Now moving on to the TE's, I only have 2 in the late rounds.

Jeron Mustrud Kansas State
Nathan Overbay Eastern Washington

I thought punter would be the first name on everyone's list. Zoltan is a physical specimen and can boom the ball, but for more directional kicking, like the pats prefer, I think Brent Bowden or Matt Dodge would do.

Another prospect I mentioned in another thread was Joe Webb from UAB. He's basically Pat White without the hype. He could be this year's poor man's Tebow (if that makes any sense).

At DT/DE there's Earl Mitchell. A former half back who put on a few pounds to play DT and produced with 6.5 sacks in his first real year at the position. I think a real diamond in the rough.

I like to look at the players who are overshadowed in college. A few of these could be available in the late rounds like:
Brody Eldridge TE Oklahoma
Lonyae Miller RB Fresno State
Kevin Haslam OT Rutgers
DeMarcus Granger DT Oklahoma
Josh Hull ILB Penn State
Brandon James RST FL
Dennis Rogan S Tenn
Josh Pinkard S USC

Andrew Quarless. Various sites have him going at anywhere from #184 to #268.

Character issues in his history, I know. But the guy can get open, catch and block. For a 6th or 7th, probably worth the risk.

Andre Anderson RB Tulane
JAVARRIS JAMES, RB MIA
