TE-Jimmy Grahams "tremendous" pro day

Per Rotoworld Miami TE Jimmy Graham stood on his times from the combine, but looked "tremendous" in pass catching drills. He put on a show, and I quote here "offering LEGIT Tony Gonzalez appeal." They also go on to say this very well could put him in the 2nd round.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This is the guy that we've been looking for at the TE position. Would have no problem spending one of those 2nd's on this kid as opposed to the injury prone guys ahead of him. When it's all said and done he will be the best TE in this class. And before anyone goes off about his blocking. I've read several scouting reports that describe him as a very willing blocker, may not set the world on fire now, but at least he has the desire to be a totally complete TE.

He seemed really focused at the combine, and he look really good in drills too. I would not mind using a 2nd rounder on him if BB likes what he is seeing.

Honestly, he is just not going to be a blocker at his size probably ever. If he just sticks to what he is (a big WR) he'll do just fine in this league. I'm not sure what 'very willing' means but for millions of dollars I'd be pretty motivated too

If Gronkowski is healthy we should grab him in the second. Not unless someone else of higher value of a different posisiotn slips or if gresham somehow slipped into the 2nd we could trade up for him maybe.

Even though he's going to take some time to develop, I think Graham is going to be a player. Wasn't it BB who said all the potential TEs are power forwards on the basketball teams. Well, I don't know what position he played, but I know he was a basketball player at Miami. And at 6'7" he'd make a heck of a red zone target. I'd have no problem grabbing him in the second round.

I also like Gronkowski a lot, but his medicals are very suspect with his back/ spine problem.

I think Pitta would be a nice player as well especially if you could get him in the fourth round.

I'd also love to see them use one of their seventh rounders on Nathan Overbay. 6'5" 262 4.68. Would be a project but might be a good pick at 7.

Absolutely agree! The guy is already bigger, and has a much larger frame than any TE we had on our roster last year. His size holds no validity in the argument that he will never be a blocker.

Mayock said talent wise (where he is today), he should go on the third day of the draft.. But because of his measureables, someone will draft him a lot higher.. Mike stated it would take min of two years before you saw anything out of him..

Give the guy a break, it was his 1st year of football for gods sake. He had a pretty good year for someone who just learned the game on the fly.

We'll see about that. I have a feeling the song will remain the same. Meaning BB will draft whoever he feels is the best value for his team. Not necessarily the sexy big names most want every year.

I agree. Gronk seems solid all around...provided his back injury checks out.
