I can't even guess players past the 3rd round let alone 6th or 7th. I'm sure they'll take a flyer on some random athlete at small school usa and turn him into a HoF TE

I'd certainly be looking at Bryan Anderson and Tim Hiller.

Depending on our TE activities I'd also look at someone like Hoomanawanui as well.

Late round picks are like lottery tickets. You don't expect much, but sometimes you can hit on gems. And the more tickets you have, the better chance you have on hitting on 1 or 2 of them.

Had a sensational Combine, and had a strong senior year despite the Louisville passing game being nothing short of a disgrace.

Nice size at 6'2" 216lbs, well thought of by all accounts and apparently has a wonderful work ethic.

Some of the players I liked as 6th/7th targets seem to be coming up in the world now. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised to see both Deji Karim and Mike Kafka gone before the 6th. Now I need new binkies.

I'll stick with punter Brent Bowden, though.

It's way too many picks. I'd trade our 6th and 7th and Phily's 7th for a future pick or a highish fifth. All the comp picks, save a punter, are bound for the PS.

George Johnson could be a decent OLB project. Maybe a couple STers and/or WRs.

According to PFW- he's a good directional punter with a strong leg who has kicked in inclement weather.

Taylor Price WR Ohio
Good size 6' 201 with a 4.33 40 time

Deji Karim RB Southern Illinois
5'9" 197 4.47 40 time
Also returns kicks.

I also like John Skelton QB from Fordham. Great size at 6'5" 244 with a strong arm. Good possibility he won't be there in the 6th, but he's an interesting prospect.

Really, I haven't seen that. Well then he'd be an excellent value at 6 then wouldn't he.

I'd be interested in reading about that. Can you point me in that direction do I can check it out?

Just to set the record straight, Karim is actually 210 pounds, and ran a 4.37 - 4.43 at his pro day. So he's actually more faster and more powerful than you credit him. He's also my favorite RB in this class.

As for late round gambles for greatness, what about Callahan Bright? SI.com did a piece on him last month that was pretty well received, but I don't remember us discussing him very much. When the SI story came out, I thought it was all hype, but apparently he had a pro day today, where at 6'2 1/2 and 342 pounds, he ran a 5.02 and hit 41 reps on the bench. That's pretty impressive, all things considered. Could be a great developmental lineman if the character issues work out. I'm of the opinion that he's actually more mature than most of the players in this draft: doing jail time as a young man and going through the stress of separation from his kid, plus putting in the hard work to re-earn football eligibility and get his life turned around tells me that he's learned from his mistakes and will be a hard working, motivated player at the next level. Pro-Day 3-24: Central Michigan/North Carolina State/UConn/Nevada

Oh, and notice also in the blog that several coaches have a 3rd round grade on Easley. Maybe we'll have to pick him earlier than anticipated, but that's okay by me--I think he's gonna be great.
