Lets just take him at 22: Clemson D/E outside linebacker Ricky Sapp

Yeah, I know we've never drafted an OLB with our 1st round pick.
Before 2001 we had never won a Super Bowl either. Lets draft this guy at 22. He has the freakish athletism and speed at the edge we need. He is a football player as well. Even if he take some time to develope into a complete OLB, most players take some time to develope. Even Brady took a year! His pass rushing skills obviously add a demension we crave badly. We can find receiver/DE/TE in 2nd and later rounds. I also know there is depth in this draft, this guy might be the best pure pass-rusher at the next level in this draft. Also, 6' 3 7/8", not far from Bills criteria.

i think they could get him in th 2th round if that's who BB wants but there are also. like 9 teams that run a 3-4 that will be picking from #23 through #46 i know it's a deep draft but there still may not be much left for the pats to pick from at OLB and DE

He's probably the 4th or 5th best 3-4OLB. Drafting him with the 22nd pick is a huge reach. I think we should draft him, but he should definitely be there with any of the picks in the second.

Sapp is the most likely target at 22. I personally think he sets the edge fine in the run game and is a great open field tackler on the edge. Outside of Paul-Pierre he has the best first step and straight-line speed of any OLB/DE and has more developed pass-rush moves. If he hadn't hurt his knee, he would have been much more productive and would likely be a Top 12-15 pick. If his knee checks out medically, I think he is the guy at 22.

Furthermore, he is one of the very few DE/OLB in this year's draft who fit BB's prototype. Many on this board clamor for Hughes, Graham, Worlids, Misi, etc. but refuse to accept the fact that BB WILL NOT PICK ANYONE in the first few rounds who doesn't fit the 6'4 4.6 prototype. He basically said this last year after the Draft:
Q: Was there any disappointment at not landing an outside linebacker...Did you agree with [NFL Network Analyst Mike] Mayock that there was a lot of outside linebacker depth?
A: I'm not really sure...There weren't a lot of 4.6, 4.65 [40 time] guys. There weren't a lot of 6-[foot]-4, 6-[foot]-5 guys. I'd say it was a much smaller pool of those types of players.

There it is, clear as day, from the horse's mouth. 6'4 4.6. A need at 3-4 OLB. IMO he is an elite talent when healthy and well worth #22. Given the proliferation of the 3-4 defense, and BB proteges in KC, CLE, DEN, etc., Sapp may not last until the 3rd round, or even long enough for one of our three
2nds.

From your list, my $.02:

Brandon Graham - Nice player but not at #22, doesn't have the length or agility
Jerry Hughes - Really, really like him, but I see him as an ILB
Sergio Kindle - Don't like the way he moves, very slow-footed
Jason Worilds - On my ILB board
Koa Misi - Hey, I agree with you!
Eric Norwood - Another ILB, and IMO a clear cut below Worilds and a cut-and-a-half below Hughes

Which brings up the point...is Koa Misi the OLB prospect the board agrees on most? He seems to have admirers of all stripes.
