Crable

Crable was the draft pick I was really excited about from that draft and ever since then...ummm, yeah...guess I can cancel relying on selling his auto rookie card I have as part of my retirement plan...:bricks:

woods and crable will be gone by the start of the season.....at least they should be, anyway

Crable's problem isn't that he's been injured. It's that he sucks. If you think about it, he's been put on the IR twice in 2 years with a pulled hammy/calf muscle. Contrast that to how BB has handled more significant injuries with more significant players (AD's broken arm in 08, Fred Taylor's surgery last year, etc.) and you get the picture of how close this guy is to contributing.

Funny crable thread is also lets bash woods thread lol

guys who have been IR'ed 2 consecutive years, regardless of the reason, have a poor chance of making it, period.

maybe if he comes in at 260lbs and becomes the big fat and slow edge seter that BB wants then he has a small shot at makeing it as a ST player noting more.

cRAble was never injured. BB just see's potential that he isn't ready to give up on.

Which one's Crable?:confused2:

Interesting theory. What makes you think that?

I agree that he is unlikely to make the 2010 squad.

However, is it really beyond the range of reasonable to believe that he MIGHT stay healthy enough to beat out Woods or Ninkovich?

Woods - possibly; in fact, I hope this happens. Woods is Dead to me.

Ninkovich - less possibly. I'd really like to see if Ninko can handle the chaos as an SILB. He's just not tall enough, long enough or explosive enough to contribute enough as an OLB.

I think this is Crable's last chance. If he gets injured again, he is gone. You cannot have 3yrs on injured-reserve, and expect to be a NFL player. He would be another BUST.

Its just too obvious. What was his injury history like in College? Have you seen any real evidence of him being injured? I believe BB wants him to get bigger and improve his lower body strength.

Considering we know nothing, this conspiracy theory makes the most sense IMO. Why wouldn't they just cut him, or pay an injury settlement. there is no logical reason he is still here and ready for camp except they see something in him and his matured mind and body.

I hope.

I do think he's actually been injured, not going that far.

The bad thing is, if he gets injured again, the Pats can't cut him until 2011 or they give him an injury settlement. So if he gets injured again, he takes up another roster spot....again.

Sadly I don't think that We can have any level of expectation for this guy since he has been unable to stay healthy. If He's in the mix ,it's a pleasant surprise but really, what do We know about this guy ?

I hear that he models Patriots football jerseys. Gotta earn a buck somehow, right? :D

I hear that he got fired from KFC because he was scaring the chickens... ;)

He's a 3rd round pick, so there's no big money involved. Besides, they could IR him again if they wanted to go that route. That doesn't cost a roster spot.

You're right, forgot about that.

What kinda drives me nuts is the scouting reports from Sporting News and Pro Football Weekly all noted his lack of muscle on his legs and his problems staying healthy.
