re: are you through yet?

Complaint:
1) Patriots should have been more active first week in free agency (which is not BB / FO usual MO (modus operandi) - historically prefer to wait til later weeks when dollars drop - especially in this weak FA crop.
Fact: 2010 - NEP one of the most active teams during 1st week FA : signing 5 players and extending a Pro-Bowler. Plus tendering very high their RFA's

Reply : yes, uhm - but that doesn't really count as they were mostly all their own players from last year. Should anyway have NOT waited til first week of FA but extended them /re-signed them much earlier.
Fact: league was still under the salary cap (see Joey Porter) PLUS it actually does take TWO people to sign a contract. There is only one franchaise tag and so besides this (only) one way to lock up a player - both parties have to want to sign a contract. Some players prefer to not resign until FA starts to see not only the demand for their services, but also see what other players getting.

Complaint: Yes but if they would have offered them big $$ during the season - then NEP could have used FA to sign other teams players.
Fact: Again their are salary cap issues plus NEP in 2009 season did NOT know the rules (uncapped or not) for 2010 season until March 5. Therefore making advance contracts when extremely important rules about the next few years would be difficult if not unwise. Even then, NEP did make a few minor extensions during the season: Alexander, Kazur, Ninckovich, tried with TBC. (But according to some fans, this doesn't count as it is again their OWN players -see FA argument above - it is obviously not possible to improve as a team by keeping your own players! WTF kind of reasoning is that!.

Complaint: Ok so Pats were more 'busy' than usual in the first stages of FA, but they are NOT improving as a team.
Fact: There is no game this coming Sunday. FA is still long from being over, plus NEP have more early round picks than any of the other 31 teams. NEP have one of the top 3 QB in the league, a good FO and a great owner who doesn't play team building by simulating Madden Franchaise mode.

OPINION: People need to chill..........Seriously...........it is only a game.
Your lives would be infinately better if you spent more quality time and energy with your significant others - than bee-aching about all the failings, blindness and idiot-cracy of the NEP offseason. Or go to class instead.........leave the team building of the NEP - to the professionals and one of the top 3 HC of ALL time.

P.S. Yes, ideas and comments and constructive criticisms of players/ draft strategy etc are welcome on the forums. But this non-stop *****ing about all of the above and more......are you pre-menstral or pre-pubescent or missing your pre-front lobal or what?

Nice post, but if I'm the first person to view the thread--how did it receive 5 stars already?

LOL, next time you may wanna wait until at least several people have viewed your thread before you rate it yourself

I will not be satisfied until we have pro bowlers at each position and some backup spots.

It was a good post, but don't insult the community by telling us to leave the pc and stop "biaching".

What a shocker!? So what you think 16-0 this year?

As for the op, yet another homer who won't admit that some of the "chicken littles" are making sense. You'd think this team is primed for a superbowl run by listening to some of these people.

Btw, how ironic that the op is telling others to step away from the pc (because it's just a game) at the end of a 400 word meltdown. ha-ha. It ain't that serious....I'll prove it by typing 400 words on the subject!!!!

You may be the first to reply, but you weren't the first person to view it lol

Why does it make you a homer if you keep what you already have, given you could have lost it? Plenty of other playoff teams haven't been spending stupidly for the sake of it.

What a stupid thing to say.

The community isn't insulted, only the biatchers, whiners and carpers.

Will you stop complaining about complaining :D

I'm insulted!:snob:

Actually, LOL, yes I was.

Usually when it says 0 views and 0 replys that means no one else viewed it.

How would you know anyways?

The internet isn't pure real-time. I rated it when I read it and therefore the 0 was not accurate if you saw the 5 stars.

It hardly matters. Whether we clicked on the same time, or you clicked first, when I saw the new thread it had 0 views and 0 replys. As you said, a good explanation was that it wasn't real-time, and you had already clicked first.

My question of how it could've gotten rated with 0 views and 0 replys was valid--although unimportant. The only reason I asked is because I often have seen threads before with 0 views and 0 replys, and wondered how it could've been rated. I appreciate the explanation.

I could honestly give a rats ass, what I don't appreciate is his insinuating that I am too stupid to know the difference with his sarcasm etc, and that somehow he seems to know better somehow. (?)
0 views means 0 views--plain and simple. There's also the possibility that someone could rate it before they even viewed it, seeing as how certain people only had to see the 'complaints, complaints, complaints' to realize they wanted to give it 5 stars. That's a definite possibility.

I can read just fine, and I know what it said. Not sure what business of his it was anyway.

Every year the offseasons are the same. The Chicken Littles think more needs to be done, faster, and with bigger names/favorite binkies. Every year the homers deride the Chicken Littles and a back and forth ensues. Online, or in real life, the scenario plays itself out year after year and in city after city. In 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007, the Patriots homers were right. In the other years, the Patriots Chicken Littles were either proven right or, at least, had an argument that they had been correct.

They were still right. 18-1, with a loss on a late score as a result of injuries and fluke plays is definitely a homer win. It wasn't a Super Bowl win, though, unfortunately.
