We need a veteran TE and need one badly

Hell, bring Ben Coates back in for a physical if he can still do it

Bleacher report is written by fans. That has as much validity as saying "cardinals could trade Fitz to the Pats"

Which is way i said this is Speculation!!!

It would be a horrible trade. Save the draft picks and take a chance on finding your own talent. It's not like the Pats will throw to the TE anyways.

This is almost as bad as someone hearing on sirius radio yesterday saying the Pats were making a play for Desmond Clark.. It was an EPIC failure as a trade rumor and sounds like this is the same thing..

The OP said it was speculation and the player certainly has value.

Some of you need to get over yourselves, it's the offseason and time to look to fill needs.

People will get over it when we stop seeing these ridiculous posts about giving up 2nd round picks for Average players..

& to Boot.. Mike Shanahan depends heavily on TE's in his offense.. WHy would he get rid of him? Because of Fred Davis?

We're going to trade for an idiot who took pictures of his playbook on his lap and accidentally also took pictures of his weenie because he happened to be naked?

His name came up on EEI weeks ago. Christian Fauria who played with him in Washington had nothing good to say about his attitude and work ethic. The story that stood out was Cooley bragging in training camp that he planned to use all meeting time in the upcoming year to try to color in every inch of every page of his notebook.

Was he injured last year or something? I looked up his stats and it said he didn't play the last 8/9 games.

In case anyone misses the sarcasm in my post, please note that the Bleacher Report is an amateur esports-writing outlet. Anyone can sign up to write an article.

If they had just paid Watson they would even have to consider outlandish trades like this. Sigh. But I suspect that they are not even considering it; fantasy crud. This is not baseball...

This is a year to husband draft picks. The Patriots are well situated in that respect but their lameness in FA necessitates hitting on every pick and trading down whenever possible but that will not be easy this year as everyone will want to trade down.

BS- The Clark mention was also on the internet as a RUMOR BEFORE Kirwan suggested it.

I don't have the link to prove it,but it certainly was mentioned Twice yesterday, both on the net and on the radio.

This IS the year BB must be at least 80% right on his picks and 80% must be on this roster in 2 years for the team to remain both young with a few years experience and have some longer term veterans in the mix at the same time.

My personal feeling is that this is a team that is at least another year or two from becoming serious contenders for a title but this of course dwells on this draft playing a role in the future success of the Pats.

Better draft success over the past 4 years and we would still be in the Elite 5 best teams right now instead of moving a bit down towards the good but not elite status.

Do you know what the word "average" means?

Was Ben Coates average?

Do I need to look up Watson and Graham?

I don't care about a great pass catching TE, but I do care when people just ignore the meanings of words.

You know the one player in the BB era I NEVER hear being mentioned as a real good player was Christian Fauria.

Didn't anyone here like the guy as a TE?, I did.
