If I were the Buccaneers, I would try to trade down to the fifth, sixth, seventh or ninth selection and draft Dez Bryant to help Josh Freeman. Ideally, you're able to select Bryant at a lower pick than the third pick. My thinking is that there possibly could be a team such as Seattle, Cleveland or Buffalo who could call the Chiefs if, let's say, St. Louis doesn't draft Sam Bradford with the first selection.

This is probably unlikely to happen (apparently, the Rams no longer have an internet in acquiring Michael Vick) but I'm thinking: Tampa Bay really needs a top wide receiver to complement Kellen Winslow, Jr. and the running game. Like Chad Henne, Freeman could really use some play-makers to help along his progression as a starting quarterback.

Wide receivers

Reggie Brown
Sammie Stroughter
Maurice Stovall (RFA)
Michael Clayton (injury prone)

haha, no. Eric Berry or Gerald McCoy to the Bucs.

Wasn't Tampa Bay's defense ranked #31 against the run last year? I think McCoy is perfect as a "Junior Sapp" under tackle. Someone needs to be fired if they pass on McCoy.

I think Tampa takes Dez Bryant straight up assuming that the 1-2 teams take Suh and McCoy. Does anyone see Sam Bradford as the #1 overall pick after coming off surgery? I don't, but who knows what the Rams FO is thinking?

Hypothetically speaking, if Seattle were open to this, I would accept Seattle's sixth pick and their second round pick in exchange for the third pick.

With seemingly no wide receiver to throw to, Freeman will throw it to Winslow every down and Winslow's apt to get injured. Unless Tampa Bay is intent on being a strong running team, that throws less and convert turnovers on defense.

They better have a lot of play-makers on defense and an excellent kicker.
