Peppers went to the Bears because they're a desperate team and they offered him substantially more money. He did what 95 percent of NFL players would have done in his position.

don't bother...he's either drunk or trolling

No big loss, up untill I heard the Pats were interested, I had never heard of him and lets be honest neither did 90% of the posters on this board.

I thought he played the landlord on Three's Company...I never realized what an important cog he should have been to the Patriots...and ONLY the Patriots...like Peppers and Dansby and every other day one F.A.

Or ****erson, who they will convert to a big WR.......:D

Naah they'd just convert him back to TE.

The reason they passed on Barwin was that he didn't look good enough to play TE for us! :p

Damn! And here I was hoping that we had the next Adam Seward in this guy.

There is only one Adam Seward. Well, except for when he briefly clones himself using his mental powers.

Or when he travels through time and hangs out with his younger or older self.

right now, he's the best FA TE available.......should the pats trade a 2nd rounder to the broncos for sheffler?

Probably not in this deep of a draft.

the pats need some freaking linebackers!!!!!

if you have good LB's with the rest of this defense, you can afford to have rod rutledges and jermaine wigginses as your TE's
This is correct

I'm sure that many of us - incl. me - have been disappointed in the Bumbler's time here. But he does seem to be the best avail. TE on the UFA market.

However, if he chooses to continue somewhere else, then I would try - harder, now that Fells has re-signed with the Lams - to sign Algae Crumpler and hope that he turns out better than Kyle Brady & Alex Smith & Chris Baker. I would also make a definitive determination on the futures of Agnone & Myers, and based on that determination I would then use one of the 7th-round comps on the best avail. blocking or pass-catching TE; I would be loathe to expend a higher pick on the position, unless one of those comps becomes a 6th-rounder.

What I def. do not want to see happen is Bill foolishly wasting one of our precious 2nd-rounders, or even our 4th, on a TE. We have too many other needs - 2 OLBs, 2 WRs, ILB, CB, C/G, DE - to fill and not enough mid-round picks (damn that Burgess trade) on which to fill them them.
