right now, he's the best FA TE available.......should the pats trade a 2nd rounder to the broncos for sheffler?
First we miss out on Peppers, then Bodden, now Fields um i mean fells. This is the last straw.

If the Pats made him a competitive offer, and he chose the Rams, there is something wrong. And I don't say that because I'm a Pats fan. The same would be true if the choice was Rams vs the Colts, Steelers, Vikes, Saints, etc. What would cause a FA football player to choose years of being bummed out after games to the thrill of victory week after week, year after year?Wow....shows where this kid's head is. "Hmm? Do I go back to that abysmal pathetic excuse of a football team or do I go somewhere where I can win a SB? Well, I don't know too many people in New England sooo, I guess I'll go home!":bricks: Whatever...bring on the next guy.

Wow... no dice. Get ready for Gresham at #22!!
We'll probably never know. Reiss said the Pats were discussing a contract with Fells' agent, so there must have been some interest. Fells signed a one-year deal for $1.5 mil.Is it known whether the Pats made him an offer?
peppers didn't have a problem picking the bears over the pats.......
the pats are no longer the blooming rose of the NFL......to pull up roots and go somewhere for a chance at a playoff game ain't all that
