Reiss just reported this in his column

Has anyone seen this guy play?

Sounds like a JAG but if Reiss is reporting a deal is in the works then I think the Crumpler visit didn't go well.

Was on IR in December and has not shown a thing...He is under contract with the Rams so I would figure a deal for a 7th round pick?

He's big @270. I watched some of STL since SJax is on my fantasy team. He had a good game against Green Bay with a couple touchdowns if I recall.

I saw that on the bottom of a Tweet for someone else.
Just cuz he's being brought in doesn't mean Crumps didn't go well, they were probably both contacted because they need more than 1 TE....

I'm certainly on board the big TE bandwagon if it helps bring in my draft binkie, Dorin ****erson.

I would think the Pats want a TE for primary blocking and a TE for ball catching skills - I figured Fells was a blocking TE

My guess is they had every intention of bringing in both guys from the start, and then go from there.
Doesn't hurt to look at both, I'd think either would like to play for the Pats.

If I played for the Rams I would take ANY other team....even the Lions,

At least the Lions have improved their roster already, the Rams are destined for another tough season.

Can't say that I've watched a single Rams game since 2008. Is Fells more of a blocking TE or a receiving TE?

Well,He has not really played much but I believe he is more of a Chris Baker type than a Ben Watson type judging by his few stats

He's also a long snapper.

He is not under contract. He was an RFA for the Rams but was non-tendered.

It has been a while, but I wasn't impressed with him. Poor recognition skills. Janet and Chrissy liked him but Jack wasn't a big fan. Considering the poor guy died 12 years ago, the Pats are really digging deep for TE help.

Note: You get bonus points for getting the obscure pop culture reference...and you should probably be heading off to bed now.

Wasn't that Norman Fell?

He sounds like another Michael Mitchell. :bricks:

Brief, but a pro scouting report from TSN some Canadian site.

Assets A hard-working blocker and a pretty good receiver. A team-first player that does what's asked.
Extremely coachable.

Flaws Does not bring ideal size or speed to the tight end position. Isn't much of receiving option outside of the short range.

Career potential Adequate backup.

(The ideal size comment seems weird, he's big. Guess he's slow).

According to this he ran pass routes and run blocked; however, he ran more pass routes than run blacked. At almost a 60-40 split. The guy is really slow though.
