Chris Chambers re-signs with the Chiefs

I was hoping the Pats would at least kick the tires there.......OOOO well, it looks like he got decent coin.

Didn't want him. Drops too many passes. He did have a history of performing well in the playoffs though. Seems like a lot of dough for a WR who will be 32 in Aug. and ok production.

I question that move.

Chambers was low on my list of WR free agents. Much rather have either Mason or Bryant along with Josh Reed.

Watch out for the Chiefs this year, guys. This move all but seals the deal for a postseason appearance.

Understood, and I agree. He does help set the market for the older receivers, though.

They are kicking the tires with Vargas and Jones, too.

As an aside, I think the Chiefs will improve this year.

Alright so 12m for 3yrs for Mason with 4m guaranteed......

Heh, well, to be fair, there is nowhere for them to go but up. My post was mainly dripping with sarcasm due to me always believing Chambers to be one of the more overrated WR's in the league in his "time" (if you could call it that).

Chambers was one of the most inconsistent WRs of the past several years.....K.C. can have him and keep him

I would take Coles over Chambers but Coles is reported to possibly be going back to the Jets.

I hear you, and I agree 100%. ;)

I still, to this day, remember how obnoxious Dolphins fans were after 2005 stating that 2006 was going to be their year and how Chambers was finally ready to dominate the league. Epic fail...

If the Dolphins weren't dumb enough to pass on Drew Brees in 06,who knows if Chambers would have had a much better career in Miami

Chambers has one of the worst catching rates of balls thrown at him in the league. IE He's got bad hands. That's a pretty big flaw for a WR to have, so I didn't want him. Still KC doesn't have a lot of options at WR, so it made sense for them to resign this guy and give him an ESCALATOR-laden, performance based contract. Meaning if he's mediocre as usual, they probably don't have to pay him much above vet min + the signing bonus.
