since were having all these threads about wr's and offense....why not naturally add one more?

i think if TO comes here hell behave just fine...but what i want to discuss is:

if both of these two guys are on the Patriots this upcoming year, than we would have the two best WR's of the last decade, the most known and most feared and respected wr's to play the game in the modern era....

that would be really interesting to see

I'd rather get younger talent rather than a shell of his former self type player.

But since it's the Patriots and they love over the hill players that are still hungry for a championship I wouldn't be surpised...

If we are going to get a WR with character issues I would rather go all in and get Marshall.

And IMO, Marshall just needs to grow up a little bit. Concerns about him are mainly off field, and those (you would think) should be curable with the correct guidance. I think BB and TB could offer that guidance.

Owens is a different situation. He is a locker room bomb with every team he has ever been to. No thanks.

It has been a cold winter; maybe Hell is freezing over after all

He wasn't a 'locker room bomb' for the Bills and played pretty well for them this year. He keeps himself in peak physical condition.

i think T.O would be great. with the pats. the only problem i could see is both of them are going for rices TD record. moss maybe pissed off if T.O had more TD's then him.

Owens has 130. Moss has 128.

Rice had 197. I don't think they need to worry about breaking that record.

I say why not, the hunger for a ring might make a good addition to the WR corps. No disrespect to Sam Aiken, but would you take him or Owens as a #3 receiver?

But he was a locker room bomb in SF, Philadelphia, and in Dallas. And after his comments about Trent Edwards, he would have been in Buffalo if he was still there and Edwards was the QB. Regardless of how well he keeps himself in condition, I'd rather have a 25 year old Brandon Marshall than a 36 year old Terrell Owens.

I wouldn't mind seeing T.O. on the team for a one year flyer. I'm pretty sure most people know my opinion on the guy. Too bad it will never happen.

Not to mention T.O's contract would most likely be 1 year, so if any trouble arose, which I doubt would happen, you could just cut him. He showed last year he still has the ability to seperate and make an impact. He was just unlucky who was throwing to him. I'd be for the move.

Moss (in a contract year), Owens , Welker and Brady...would be fun to watch.

moss has 148 TD's TO has 144 TD's but your right still far off.

I really don't see all the love for a WR who is about to turn 37 in 2010 and wasn't a difference maker with the Bills anyways. Let him go to the Bungles and eat all the popcorn he wants with his buddy Ocho Cinco. Their heads are both swollen so big it will be entertaining just to watch the inevitable explosion in the locker room.

There are plenty of other choices besides Owens in terms of upgrading from Sam Aiken, who was never expected or intended to be the number two receiver. Rather than comapring Owens to Aiken, compare him to what else is available and at what price (e.g., Brandon Marshall, Vincent Jackson, Lance Moore, etc.)

The other thing to consider is this: what is going to be stronger, the hunger for a ring or the hunger for the best stats? If or when Moss or Edelman gets more passes thrown the their way, how will Owens react? If Moss passes Owens on some all-time NFL leader categories, how will TO react? Is he really willing to be a number two or three option? Can he truly co-exist with and take a backseat to a player that he has been compared to his whole career?

He constantly criticized the QBs there and passively criticized play calling.

He wasn't as bad as he has been, but he wasn't pleasant.

No thanks.

You are all for him, but 100% against Marshall? What?

T.O. would be awsome in New England. I'd support this all day.
