Re: Dolphins sign Dansby for 5 years

I hope you don't really think that. According to the many radio shows down here, there isn't much confidence in Channing Crowder. If McClain falls to Miami, that's where he is going.

Over a pass rusher?....doubt it. If Spiller is on the board at 15 thats where hes going.

Re: Dolphins sign Dansby for 5 years [merged]

Oh yeah, Ravens really broke the bank - $7M year on a 90-catch, 1,000-yard guy...

whose stats are padded b/c he played to the manbeast called Larry Fitzgerald, and a good #3 receiver in Bryant Johnson. Boldin and Johnson benefitted from Fitzgerald. Let's see what Boldin can do when will be counted on as #1 in a more defensive oriented division....no Seahawk, 49ers, Rams creampuff Defenses in AFC

Stick Welker back in Miami and let me see how many 90+ catch seasons he was getting ?

He's also a guy who has missed 3+ games a year the last 3yrs, not a sign of a durable player heading into his 30's.

I haven't heard those radio stations, and the Fins FO is picking not the radio stations. You never know who could fall, there could be someone with a much higher value when they pick. Vince Wilfork wasn't suposse to fall to ........#21-22?

True, as of right now, that is their biggest need on defense.

Boldin was a stud as a ROOKIE, the year BEFORE Fitzy was drafted.

Fitzy is without a doubt a great WR, but Boldin is VVG as well.

Too bad Dansby was at the big contract stage of his career, I always thought he was a good player.
I would have been beyond shocked had the Pats spent $ on him.

Vince Wilfork 5 years 40M

Dansby 5 years $43M

We got a great deal with Vince. I value Vince more than Dansby as a player.

That's how I saw it too. Vince gets a little more guaranteed, so realistically his contract is larger, but he's a far superior player.

lmao!

ITS THE NFL, PLAYERS ARE NOT PAYED ON WHAT THEY MAY OR MAY NOT BE WORTH BUT OF THE CALIBER OF PLAYER AND THE NEED OF HIS POSITION, WHEN WILL PEOPLE GET IT?!

So they're not paid for the calibre of player they are (i.e, what they're worth), but they are paid what they're worth (i.e their calibre)?

Re: Dolphins sign Dansby for 5 years

I think you'll see a KC or a Cleveland trade down from the top 5-7 and take him early teens a la Mayo.

I don't. KC doesn't need a ILB. They need O-line and D-line help. And an OLB.

Cleveland also needs O-line and D-line help. They need ILB help, but the D-line is more important.

I live down here and listen to their shows. Parcells supposedly is VERY high on McClain and not so high on Channing Crowder anymore. If McClain is there at 15, he is a Dolphin. I doubt Spiller would be there at 15.

Re: Dolphins sign Dansby for 5 years

McClain has fallen since the combine. Unless he has a great pro-day he will be there but the Pats will pass on him for either Graham or Odrick.

McClain hasn't fallen since the combine. He's rated a 1st round pick. Where in the first round was always the question.

Rolando McClain doesn't have the weight issues that Wilfork did.

Re: Dolphins sign Dansby for 5 years

Yea but there is no way that the Giants pass on McClain at 15

Why not? Do you know something about Coughlin that everyone else doesn't? Or about the Giants draft strategy?

Do you know that the Giants really LIKED the play of Goff at MLB during his 4 starts.

I don't recall wilfork having any wgt issues at that time, but it doesn't really matter. You never know how the draft will play out.

Tough off-season for the Cardinals.

They've lost Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin, Karlos Dansby and possibly Antrel Rolle.

Even if McClain falls to #22, you guys think he is an auto pick? We need DE/OLB help, and Guyton//Mayo could be a great young duo.

How good is this kid, the next Ray Lewis?

Yes. He is that good. He's also a fantastic fit.

Guyton may one day become serviceable, but he'll never be anything even close to great.
