If PFT is to be believed, Oakland has placed an original round tender on Kirk Morrison. He'd cost a third, but could well be available in trade for less than that. I'm in.

Are we talking strong inside here?

Maybe we could ship Thomas out there for Morrison.

Shipping Thomas and a late round pick for Kirk Morrison is something I mentioned before. First, it ensures he isn't with the Jets next season. Second, by trading him, we also get something in return (albeit for a year).

I have been a big fan of Morrison since the Raiders drafted him out of SDSU. I've heard interviews with him and he comes across as a well-spoken and intelligent player.

why would we try and make their team better by giving them a motivated AT? we want their pick to be as low as possible

Why do we care about motivation for Afailius? He's made it clear his motivation is all about being his own star and dumping on the team, let someone else harbor a cancer, cut it out and get healthy.

It's more important to control where he goes (i.e. not within the division) than what we get in return for him. If the Pats can get a decent LB in return, I say "good deal".

I like this guy, but something tells me the Pats will be satisfied with Mayo, Guyton, Mckenzie +JAG/draftee inside.
