It's been a short month since we did this, so let's see if the thinking has changed.

Using the rankings NFL Draft - 2010 Draft Prospects - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com

Pick the players Patriots that the patriots should draft. You can go up 5 places above the Patriots pick, so you can go up to #17 from #22 and so on and so forth. And you can pick any player ranked at or below the Patriots pick.

Here are the Patriots picks as of now
PATRIOTS 22 44 47 53 - 116 - 180 213

You can trade but make sure that your trade makes since as to the value of the trade.

Good luck, and have a good and safe picking.

OK, don't mock my mock until you have posted your picks to mock.

I just realized I didn't draft an offensive lineman. maybe substitute Dan for Trent Williams,?

I'll try.

22 - Dan Williams, DT
44 - Brandon Spikes, ILB
47 - TRADE (for 69, 81)
53 - Jerry Hughes, OLB

#116 Selvish Capers OT West Virginia
#180 Jamar Chaney ILB Miss St.

#53 - C Mitchell WR
#70 - T Gerhart RB
#87 - M Petrus OG
#116 - AJ Edds ILB
#180 - Z Mesko P
#213 - L Coker RB

22 Jared Odrick, DE

47 Rodger Saffold, OL (this pick could be traded down a bit to try and get additional third round picks)
53 Mardy Gilyard, WR (this pick could be traded down a bit to try and get additional third round picks)
116 Dennis Pitta, TE
180 Adrian Tracy, OLB
213 Patrick Stoudamire, CB

AdamJT13 forecasts 4 comp picks, most likely in the 7th, so for fun here's 253 - 256

253 Corey Peters, DL
254 Stevenson Sylvester, LB
255 Deji Karim, RB
256 Mike Brandtner, P

22 Jared Odrick, DE
44. Brandon Spikes, ILB
47. Devin McCourtey, CB
53. Koa Misi, OLB (Box, I am sold on this kid after getting some footage from a friend)
116. Brandon Tate, RB
180. Andre Roberts, WR
213. Mike Hoomanawanui, TE

Man, I looked all over for Saffold, guess I didn't go down far enough. Man there is some talent in this draft. The patriots need to get a 3rd round pick somehow. Maybe if they decide to trade AD they can get one/

I was disappointed that I left Hughes on the board. But until I can see his weight that has been listed as low as 225 confirmed, I had to go with others.

I'll try one with trades in a day or 2.

I'm not impressed with the 2011 draft class, I'd be willing to use a 2011 pick or two to get into the third...I'd also be willing to trade back with one or two of the seconds.

22 Jared Odrick, DE
44. Brandon Spikes, ILB
47. Devin McCourtey, CB

Any way you can make .gif clips of that footage and upload them?

22. Jared Odrick, DE
44. Vladimir Ducasse, OG/OT
47. Austen Lane, OLB
53. Carlton Mitchell, WR
116. Dennis Pitta, TE
180. Marcus Easley, WR
213. Pat Paschall, RB

253. Darius Marshall, RB
254. Corey Peters, DE
255. George Johnson, OLB
256. Dexter Davis, LB

I think we could stand to trade a second rounder back into the third and still pick up Mitchell, but he's my binkie so he's on board at 53.

Still waiting to see the DB's but this is what I think right now:

#22 Trade - you know BB will trade down! (for #36 and #68)
#36 Sean Weatherspoon ILB Missouri - I love this guy as an every down LB
#42 Ryan Matthews RB Fresno St (trade #47 and #180 to get him)
#44 Rob Gronkowski TE Arizona (Big risk on his back injury)
#53 Koa Misi LB Utah
#68 Roger Saffold OT Indiana
#116 Geno Atkins DT Georgia
#213 Alric Arnett WR West Virginia

Comp Picks
#253 Daniel Teo Nesheim DE Washington
#254 Corey Peters DT Kentucky
#255 Mike McGlaughlin LB BC (He is going to be on some teams roster as a special teamer, two time Capt, not fast, just over 6' but posted 34 reps at 225#) Uncle played in NFL and father played in USFL. Came back from torn achilles this year.
#256 Trindon Holliday WR LSU (5'5" but blazing fast 4.27) Star of Texas vs Nation all star game

Looking to fit Myron Rolle somewhere in here too! Most teams will shy away from him because he wants to be a Dr (Neuro Surgeon). They fear he won't be committed to football. Very smart, heady player. Rhodes scholar.

The Patriots are probably one of those teams. . . .

22 Maurkice Pouncey C/OG
44 Montario Hardesty (Think Jonathan Stewart ;)) Tennessee
47 Lamaar Houston Texas
53 Jason Worilds Virginia Tech
116 Andre Roberts WR Citadel
180 AJ Jefferson CB Fresno St
213 Clifton Geathers South Carolina (He might be gone. Had a 36 vert and his reach is longer than that.)

All of these guys are great atletes and the first five definatley have skill.

22 - Jason Pierre Paul DE/OLB (probably gone by now, but what the hell)
44 - Terence Cody DT
47 - Anthony McCoy TE
53 - Toby Gerhart RB
116 - Dekoda Watson OLB
180 - Marshall Newhouse OG
213 - Seyi Ajirotutu WR

22 - Ricky Sapp OLB Clemson or Charles Brown OT USC or Jahvid Best RB Cal
Trade #44 to SD so they can grab Ryan Matthews for #60 and #91
47 - Arrelious Benn WR Illinois
53 - Montario Hardesty RB Tennessee
60 - Greg Hardy DE/OLB Ole Miss
91 - Alex Carrington DE Arkansas St
116 - Dennis Pitta TE BYU
