More on the value of Combine interviews from Christopher Price, with this snippet about Patrick Chung:

The Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said one of the reasons New England was so high on safety Pat Chung entering the draft was its interview with him at the 2009 combine.

"After 15 minutes, we were ready to run through a wall,” Caserio later recounted of their time with Chung. "It was like, 'Sign me up."

Another QB wn't throw in Indy ... Texas QB Colt McCoy has become the latest top QB prospect to announce that he will not participate in the passing drills at this week's scouting combine in Indianapolis. McCoy, who suffered an injury to his throwing arm early in the BCS Championship Game against Alabama, will participate in all other drills at the event, but will not throw for NFL personnel people until the Texas pro day on March 31st

Lande came up with a couple of pretty good lists there. I've been intrigued by Chris Cook for awhile and had similar concerns about Norwood.

Just had a quick chat with Michigan punter Zoltan Mesko. Says he had significant chat with Pats special teams coach Scott O'Brien.

Pats currently don't have a punter under contract for 2010, so a player like Mesko could be a late-round consideration.

Pauline really likes Damian Williams. I'm beginning to feel that he might be a better fit here than Golden Tate.

"We're testing everybody, not just at-risk athletes who have had more than one concussion," said Dr. Art Rettig, an orthopedic surgeon at Methodist Sports Medicine in Indianapolis, which runs the medical part of the combine. "Everybody will have this ImPACT test so they will have a baseline, and whatever team they end up with will be sent that baseline information."

I really hope they pass on Zoltan Mesko. Maybe he just had a bad game or something, but he was horrible at the Senior Bowl.

That kid Bowden who kicked at the Texas vs. The Nation game was much more impressive than Mesko was.

That was definitely Brandtner from Iowa State. Good kid, even though he is a Cyclone. I would love to see him picked up with a 7th round comp pick.

Yeppers however one bad game for Mesko doesn't mean he should be over looked his kickoff ability is a bonus too.
