On espn.com, a headline titled, "Rumors: Randy Moss to Cowboys trade talk". It's on espn insider, which I don't subscribe to. Can someone with insider access post the rumor? (which, I'm sure, won't end up happening, but this is the offseason where we discuss rumors)

probably just people saying we he wants out (which is wrong) and that dallas is a placehe could go not even worth the money would be my guess

Interesting. If you could get like Miles Austin and a 3rd round pick it could be appealing.

Moss for DeMarcus Ware plz. kthxbye

Didn't Bill try to trade for Ware last year? Maybe he'll up the offer and throw in an old weather-beaten Moss?

Nah, don't think so.

Rumors are that Marion Barber might be on the block since Felix Jones has taken the lead role and Tashard Choice is emerging. I would trade Moss for Barber in a heartbeat. Bring back the Golden Golpher backfield.

If we lose Moss I wish they'd re-sign Watson and convert him into a WR.

It's just speculation as usual as evidenced by their line : "In thinking about teams that could be interested"

Big fan or Barber's running style. Not sure of his pass-protection abilities but he runs well and can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Not sure if Barber = Moss though as Moss may have a bit more value.

What about Bobby Carpenter? I liked him coming out of Ohio State and thought the Pats were going to draft him.

Of topic, JSN I just clicked on the movie trailer posted in your by-line, it looks cool.

Thanks. We're having a premiere here (Canada) March 4 and dealing with distributors right now. Probably late-spring in limited release. Thanks for asking!

Why trade Moss for a guy that will get 9 runs a game and get hurt in week 7. Wait, is that only our RBs?

I think Barber may have a bit more value myself. Barber is 26 and is signed through 2014. Moss is 33 and a free agent after this season.

The thing is with the Cowboys in the Final Eight teams, it might be tough picking up Moss' salary. Because without an extension that reduces his salary this year, he would be the one high priced player they acquire this year.

LOL

Well, if we had two Maroneys, we could get through a whole season. Ever think of that, smart-arse??

Bobby Carpenter for Moss? The guy is a mediocre pro. The Cowboys would have to give up far more than Carpenter for Moss.

If the Pats trade Moss who is Brady going to throw the ball too? The ballboy? Patten?

I don't have a stong disagreement, Rob. If the deal was straight-up, I wouldn't really complain. I do still consider Moss as an elite receiver and do not consider Barber as an elite runner but he pretty darn close IMO.

Yep. They would need to rework RMs deal.

Brady's arm-strength was pretty awesome last year. Maybe he'd STILL force the ball to Moss...
