No surprise here with the current uncertainty about the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

LOL I love how he'd like one of those Asomugha deals Al is supposedly shopping while the ink is still wet on Richard's tag.

No recriminations either, those are reserved for when the Patriots do something aweful to someone...like "slap" them with the franchise tag...

No Kidding. The Patriots are the only team in the league that is not allowed to franchise a player in peace. It's ok for every other team though.

Defensive ends get a LOT of dough being tagged -- $12 million plus. Richard should be happy.

Where are they going to find enough money to sign a new QB?

We should trade a second round pick to the Raiders for him;)

You're right, and so should Vince. $7 million plus is pretty good dough for guys playing a 2-down position.

The franchise tag is a joke, it needs to be eliminated. Before AL Davis had alzeheimers, he would have just played him at 4-3 tackle for a year and tagged Seymour for 7 million.

Can't see why that wouldn't hold up.

The only DE "deserving" $10MM+ a year are Freeney and Ware.

Pissburgh is getting ready to tag Casey Hampton.

Yeah, but everyone accepts that Pittsburgh is cheap, always have been, and because they're the Steelers and the Rooney's own 'em it's somehow chic...;)
