Where did you get that jersey? I've spent 5+ years of my life trying to obtain one.

Does anyone have info where and when his wake is? I had the privilige and honor of meeting Mosi dozens of times. We talked alot about the old days and of his talented son Lofa. I will miss him. Great guy. Great player. :( Thanks in advance guys and girls.

I actually had to have it custom made. I planned on having him sign it, but I loved it so much I couldn't stand to see it stuck inside a frame and not be able to wear it.

That SUCKS. :( I wasn't a Pats fan back when he played but I learned who he was through collecting football cards, etc.

May God have mercy on his soul.

Far too young to pass indeed.

Being from Hawaii, he was of course one of my favorite players especially in my young years just learning about football. My wife happens to also be a Punahou alum.

Had the chance to meet him in 2008 before the Pats - Seahawks game (where this pic was taken) and he was certainly as nice as he could be and though I could have talked to him for hours I certainly didn't want to monopolize his time among so many other Pats fans there at the Showbox.

Aloha Oe

To my knowledge, Mosi was a solid human being.

Okay, wait a minute, I've calmed down. If you thought I was saying God should have mercy on him because he was a bad guy or something, that was not my intent at all. I just wrote the first "Rest in Peace"-type phrase that came into my head. This was a misunderstanding on my part, I did not mean to cause any offense, nor do I want to start anything to distract from the true purpose of this thread, which is to pay tribute to this great player and great person who has left us way too young. So let's just forget my post above.

The most popular ST guy in Pats history and maybe NFL history. The stadium would rock with Mosi/Moose chants whenever he made a hit - similar to "Youk" at Fenway. He was an awesome Patriot, and someone that the average fan could really relate to somehow. Everyone pulled for Mosi. I'd forgotten how many yards he gained as a RB.

Just a terrible loss, in the prime of life.

It's all good. It's just a phrase that I am accustomed to hear spoken when the departed has led an unsavory life. Didn't know if I had missed something about Mosi. Would have been very disappointed. Glad it's not the case!

Mosi is/was my Uncle (by marriage) and was the reason I started rooting for the Pats many years ago. I remember he sent a football home with my aunt one time signed and such. Of course me and my cousin just saw a football, and played with it until it was battered and gone. It saddens me that Mosi is battered and gone now too. But like the football he is not forgotten. May your soul find peace beyond this place.

sad farewell to a great patriot. far too young.

A great player...and Grogan said it best when he said that Mosi could have played in any era and excelled - he was just a player through and through.
He was also awesome as a short-yardage RB. Really knew how to pick up the needed yard!
