Branch backpedaling

I wouldn't call that much of a backpedal, simply lip-service to his current employer. I don't think many people to expect him to stay with the team anyway, so I'd say its a pretty moot point.

Also glad to hear he's 100%. I'm sure he wouldn't just say that.

Listen, honey . . . would I lie to you just to . . . get in your pants?

The Late great Frank Zappa, with Flo and Eddie...

Deion Branch always reminded me of the Wesley Snipes charater in the Goldie Hawn movie, "Wildcats". Loves to talk...

Somehow I really believe Deion when he says he wants to play out his contract...this time. In fact I'd go so far as to say he's desperate to...

I love this from the guy who claimed Tommy's knee would never, ever be the same based on his own experience just 4-5 months ago...

And as for his health, Branch said he's "100 percent" now, and that he's capable of doing all the things he did as a Patriot. Some of his struggles to produce in Seattle have been due to those injuries he now says he's over. Some have come for other reasons.

Other reasons...way to throw your QB's and coaches under the bus...such a stand up guy our Meion. He couldn't do now what he did thanks to Tommy then if his life, let alone his livlihood, depended on it.

I want him back, but I'll never trust him. Especially about anything contract related.

This guy needs some lessons in public relations.

That's what I was thinking too. This time around, he would love to be held to his current deal but I think just about everyone knows that one way or another, Seattle will not be keeping him on at his current price. At this point, they would probably be glad to get a bag of balls for him but I think it is most likely he simply gets cut.

Heheheh
I keep reading that he is saying that.....I also read that he honors his contracts.....
"Your Lying your az$ off"

Branch is going to get Brett Favre type coverage on this board until he's signed.

Only difference is, Favre was still an MVP-caliber player, Branch is a WR3 caliber player.

BUt... But... But... That's all part of the business......

And people wonder why I hope the Pats don't touch him with a 10 ft. pole.

Interestng quote by Meion. Is it from this year or 2006:

"I have a contract. I'm a loyal football player, and I'll play my contract out."

What a dink.

So?

I think that Branch would indeed like to stay in Seatle under his current contract terms.

I also think that Branch would like to play for the patriots if the situation presented itself.

In a related story, an exotic dancer told me she loves me and will always be true. I'm sure she's sincere.

Dude, she's the one. Better put a ring on it ASAP.

How is that backpedaling? Even in the initial quotes, Branch prefaced everything by saying that he wanted to stay in Seattle and that he loved it there. Whether or not that's true is a different story, but he never said otherwise.

He didn't say anything out of place, but it's pretty clear that a lot of the jilted fans here have an axe to grind with him.

Deion wasn't loyal to this team when he was owed around a million. He is being highly disingenuous to categorize himself as loyal when he says he's love to remain with a team that wasted $28M on him because he's under contract to them for 2 more years at $11.5M and he knows no other team is going to pay him anything close to that...
