Greatest games the 2006 afc title game... Ugh... :bricks:

Is it at the part of the same INT satan through in the superbowl?:D

The Patriots are a short third-down conversion and an incomplete helmet catch attempt from having five SBs in seven years, a 19-0 season and being cemented as the greatest dynasty in NFL history, with not even a close runner-up.

Instead, both Manning brothers have a ring.

I don't think Brady to Moss/Welker would've happened if we won that superbowl. BB made bold moves in the offseason due to that game.

which is why I assume he'll be making some splashes this offseason as well. His track record in NE after tough playoff losses/misses (exception being the 08 season, but even then he started blowing up the d) would seem to suggest a plethora of new faces on the roster after camp this year.

2005 after the denver loss, we did nothing, still we made the AFC title game.. The afc title game hurt be we forgot about it in the offseason, with the talent we were blessed with .. The Super bowl the year after I dont think we have yet to recover from yet... But this is a very close second in most bitter loss..

I don't consider that Denver loss as bad as this past season's blowout loss at home to the Ravens.

I only caught the last portion of the show and did not see Reche's unforgivable drop. Did that happen on the last Patriot driver or earlier in the 4th quarter?

And that's why I'll never, ever get those 2 games out of my mind.

What we had within our grasp, only to be cruelly taken from us and given to...the effin Mannings.

As Bishop Pickering would say...There is no God.

It happened during the 3rd quarter, and they scored a TD on that drive anyway.

Speaking of TV shows. There is a new NFL show on Tru TV Friday nights at 10. It is a behind the scenes look at putting a NFL game on TV.This Friday is the London game. It should be interesting if anyone is interested. I will Tevo it.

no your right, since the loss to the ravens it seemed like we did not show up, at least we tried in the denver game...

You could also say they're two (arguably three) missed field goal attempts away from having 1 or no Super Bowls. That's the fun of the "what if" game, it goes both ways.

That Denver Div game in 05/06 was brutally frustrating....5 TOs....3 short-field Denver TDs....2 brutal PA calls.....

Still think the Pats were the better team. At least I say that to myself...:p

Really? We got destroyed vs Baltimore. It was clear the better team won that game and those kind of games for me are easy to live with.

As far as Denver, we more than doubled their yardage and they scored a lot of points off of our turnovers. It reminded me a lot of the Minnesota-Saints game this year minus the close score. Had we won they had a great chance of beating a 9-7 Pittsburgh team and a so so Seattle team.

I'm proud of the run between 03 and 07. We were in the mix for 5 straight Superbowl Rings had fate intervened in our favor. I am grateful for the 3 rings, but 07 will sting forever I'm sorry to say.

4 years later and that game still stings. I passed by it last night, I literally changed the channel the SECOND I saw what was on. The emptiness/disapointment feeling I had from that game and the super bowl is something that made me question if I needed to chill from football. I love it as an escape, but the feeling of mental pain those games put on me I just can't explain. Laugh all you want, call me a *****, but at least I'm honest. I still see visions of us blowing SB 42, the second this very loss is brought up I instantly feel the emptiness from watching Jackson was it? pick off Brady and seal the deal.

The later part of the decade truly has been its own form of a nightmare for Pats fans. call me spoiled all you want, but I feel nothing but ****ty thinking about 06-to now.

Pittsburgh was 11-5 that year, and Seattle was not a so so team. They were 13-3 and had the best offense in the league. I always see people saying those two teams weren't very good and that the Pats would've probably beat them when in fact they were both better teams than the Pats were that year.

The Pats were the better team; if they don't commit those TOs, then the crooked zebras never get the chance to make those criminal PI calls, and the Donkeys might poss. have been shut-out completely.

It also didn't help that because of injuries, Brandon Let 'em In Gorin was our starting RT.

.....And Ashworth who was puking on his shoes was at LT along with Hochstein at center...Brutal.

You know, we call these games nightmares, horror movies, etc yet we continue to make threads about them telling people what channel its on
