I was hoping we would get Kenny Britt last year and I rate him ahead of Collie or Wallace

Vollmer's a top 5 pick in any redo IMO.

Let's not go crazy. The only tackle that would go that high in a redo is Oher. Vollmer had his struggles just like the rest of the o-line

Really? One sack allowed? Twelve pressures?

He was the best rookie OT, better than Oher, and certainly better than Loadholt.

I'm going to kinda of agree here, Oher was Solid but a lot of the hype came from that movie.. Vollmer was as good or a notch below.. And i say notch below because of the injury..

Vollmer's rookie season was a resounding success.

Collie would have been an excellent pic, however long term I'm pleased that they grabbed Butler, Chung and Brace in Rd 2. Gotta give the rooks time to develop.

23. Austin Collie (over Kenny Britt or Mike Wallace?)
If he hadn't been catching passes from Manning would anyone even have heard of him ? Think there is a chance you could take one of 20 receivers in last years draft, stick them in the Colts offence and they would catch plenty of pig skin. Not saying he isn't a good receiver but I personally think it's a big stretch to say he is a 1st round talent.

Wow Matthews and Laurinaitus, both could have been Patriots. Ouch ! What a kick in the arse passing on those two.

I wonder what the 2009 draft redux will look like after the 2010 season after some of the rookies from this class have their so-called, "sophomore slump"? Hopefully Sanchez gets it.:D

Yes, Matthews we could have had in the real draft. That was my choice. And we still could have had Chung in the 2nd.

I did notice that a certain player was missing from that re-do. A player who was a favorite here and according to many, a Pro Bowler the minute he would step on the field in the NFL.

I totally agree that #13 is too low. We talked about this a while back on the draft board -- in the real live draft, three OTs were taken in the top 8 spots. There's massive need at the position. I can't see a tackle with prototype size and athleticism who proved a capable starter at both LT and RT as a super-raw rookie making it out of the top 10.

In particular, Jacksonville passed up Crabtree for a tackle at #8 last time, why wouldn't they do it again?

Especially with the year Mike Sims-Walker had.

You my man didn't watch Vollmer. He was just as good as Oher.

Yeah I agree they should have passed on Crabtree they need offensive line help more than anything because Garrard has been hit more than any other QB in the league over the past 2 years.

Who, pray tell, Magluala?

NO! Not even close. I will not name him and let the past stay in the past.

The only reason that I brought it up was because I and maybe 2 or 3 others were only ones not infatuated with this player. And some even mocked and ridiculed me for suggesting that Clay Matthews would be a better choice.

But who knows, if the Patriots had taken

, maybe he would have been the super player that most thought he would be.

He absolutely would have. :)

Does his first name rhyme with Honor, and his last name with Darwin?

I also noticed Jacob Lacey at #14. The kid had a good year, but 1st-CB-taken good? I still say that Darius Butler is a future Pro-Bowler before he is.

Vollmer was nowhere near as good as Oher.
