chad and re-chad jones?

Chad Jones sounds like a Rodney Harrison type - enforcer who's okay in coverage, the kin of guy Buffalo would draft and try to turn into a linebacker.

Morgan Burnett seems more Meriweather-ish.

I'm thinking there's a decent chance that BB picks up a DB before the 4th round, one way or another. On the surface, it would seem more likely to be a CB than a safety. However, I'm not sure that McGowan will be sticking around. Unless Lockett or Arrington step up big, that would leave the 4th safety spot open. Burnett seems to fit the mold.

Thanks for doing these, BTW.

Loving Nate Allen.

Box, we seem pretty set at safety. What do you think of either one of Berry/Rashad Jones/Mays' ability to convert to cornerback in this system? I really like Berry, but I don't think he'll be available. Nor do I think it will be a big enough need to invest a first round pick in. Just intersted in your thoughts more or less.

I've not seen Berry play, but you have Meriweather whom you saw in college for a comparison: is Berry's change of direction better than Meriweather's?

Jones is a Safety.

Mays is a Special Teamer, and then only if he learns to tackle.

Berry is pretty solid in all aspects of his game, from what I've seen. For me, I haven't seen much if anything from Mays this season. Everything I've seen from him was in 2008, where I was impressed with his play. I take it that his play dropped off in 2009?

No, he always sucked, just more draftniks have taken the time to watch him knowing he was a senior and suddenly the hype generated by USC and his speed no longer carry him.
