Chiefs just released Justin Rogers. I believe he started out on the Pats and had high hopes but became a numbers casualty.

Any thoughts on him?

Re: OLB Help

He was cut about five or six times by Pioli this year. He became more of a 3-4 ILB with the Cowboys, playing mostly on special teams.

Even though he was a 4-3 DE in college and a 3-4 OLB at first with the Pats, I don't think he would provide much help pass rush wise. As a special teamer, maybe. But Pioli releasing him on the first day he could is telling.

JAG

Now we've come to picking up scrubs from the Chiefs :bricks:

Rogers was promising during his brief Patriot career. They wanted to stash him on the taxi squad but Dallas claimed him. I haven't followed him since, but given the abysmal state of the defense, he's worth a look.

I liked him his first time around, bring him on back for a look, why not?

Yupp, just what we need, more jags.

Greetings,
I would much rather have Tamba Hali at OLB, from the Chiefs.

First, Rogers did NOT look promising during his Pats career.

Second, if you think the defense is abysmal (talk about over-reaction), then how will it be improved by adding a guy who wasn't good enough for the abysmal defense?

Rogers couldn't stand out on a KC defense that makes the Pats look like the 85 Bears.

Well, I thought he looked good. Apparently Dallas did too.

If by "promising during his brief Patriot career" meant not looking good, then yeah, I'm all for him. Hell, him and Seward would look awesome starting next to each other.

And the abysmal Defense is the one that shutout TN 59-0, and held Jags to 7, Jets to 14, Tampa 7, Atl 10, Balt 21, Carolina 10, Buffalo 10

So, they had 2 bad games vs Indy and NO........news for you, these two were playing in SB.

Get a reality check. If this was abysmal Defense then maybe you should go root for the Lions or Rams D.

Don, notice that those are all running teams.
