With the impending end of the world coming up, I was just looking to get your guys' thoughts on whether or not Maroney would be with the team in 2012, Practice Squad forum be damned.

Personally, I can't see Maroney running effectively behind this O-Line on top of the shifting of Earth's crust. IMO, I think we should sign Larry Johnson who seems to run much more effectively on shifted crust.

Oh, and I'll go ahead and save someone the effort of one starring this thread by doing it myself.

I kind of compare it to the Watson situation we have upcoming. Some people are disappointed with him, but I believe overall he's an adequate starter for us. Worth keeping around if the price is fair otherwise find a cheaper replacement.

I think I would rather have 1/2 a Maroney then LJ. I think that guy is done. Since this is a deep draft I would only trade Maroney for nothing worse then a 3rd or a 2nd in 2011. His cap number is somewhat reasonable and next season will be a contract year. Maybe it will motivate him to a better year.

You're honestly right. He's not bad, it's just that he was a first rounder and we expect him to perform as so, which isn't going to happen. Maroney is what he is, not a bad RB to have around just nothing great.

Maroney is made of lava!

keep dreaming. the cards couldnt get a 3rd for boldin LAST season.

How on earth did this thread turn into a serious discussion? Haha, Kontra, your satire was not lost on me.

2012? That is two seasons away. Do we know any player will be with the the team in 2012?

As for Larry Johnson, I would pass on him. He looks to be done. He is 30 and will be 31 during the 2010 season. He is a bad egg who is racist and a woman beater. There looks to be no upside for him.

Good to see a couple of people recognize the joke. I would have figured "end of the world" and "shifted crust" would have given it away...

Anyone who can't see that this thread is a joke seriously needs to get their head examined.

Sorry, I just kind of skim your posts normally.

I keed... k I've been had

At least now we know who responds simply to the thread title and who actually reads the first post...

I chucked at the bold....Classic!

I don't see why you would get rid of him, unless you were able to get some decent comp in return, he's cheap to keep, and at the least he can return kick offs, if it comes down to that. There's really no reason to dump him, unless they are absolutely disgusted with him.

Well, we KNOW for a fact that Maroney can run in a blizzard. The question here becomes, "can Maroney run effectively in a tornado?" IMO, I think that is the question we should be asking ourselves.

Lava owns wind every time.

Sorry, I read the entire post, but one of the hazards of posting at work is your humor radar is off. I admit the whole 2012 reference went right over my head.
