I heard Steve Young say tonight that Brees is in the same category as the top QBs in the game. Steve Young mentioned Brady FIRST then Peyton and then Brees. Yesterday and all season it was Peyton Manning this and Peyton Manning that. One play changed everything. So I guess Brady's back on top now.

This really isn't that good of a thread. But what the hell. I'm all for it.

i know it's not great thread but it just shows you that the media keeps switching as to who is the best qb right now. for the past two weeks you never heard anything about brady.

All it shows me is how incredibly fickle the media is. As I said for the past two weeks, the next time Brady has a better season (either statistically or through how far the Pats advance in the playoffs), he will be the better QB. Same with Manning.

"they hate their coach" just basically said the same thing.

When Brady is fully recovered, our D experienced, and Brady wins is last two rings in the next 5 years, the conversation will end.

And Brady rides to sunset with Giselle and lives happily ever after.:D

The Brady vs. Manning debate is a waste of valuable air time IMHO. The media changes their opinions on a dime. Until their careers are over, I really don't even think it should be seriously discussed. You know if Manning goes 12-0 next year, the talk will be Manning is better again.

And they'd be wrong again, things you can count on: Favre throwing away the game in the last minutes, Goober choking on the big stage.

Funny I dont remember Brady choking as big as peyton on the big stage...

And please dont tell me 3rd and a billion from his 20 in the super bowl is clutch... Peyton had a chance to tie the game.. Brady is a winner not a choker..

Brady as NEVER choked in his 4 Super Bowls...if you want to see choke just google Manning Face...5 point FAVORITES...<snicker>...14 point L-O-S-S...he's the PROUD OWNER of THAT for al ltime

Sounds fine by me... :)

The commentators, pundits and "experts" that constitute the sports media are a bunch of whores. They say whatever whoever is paying them wants them to say. For the last month, it's been "all Peyton all the time," "the greatest QB since Noah directed the game plan for the Ark," "the greatest guy and best all around talent in history."

Now, Peyton's made the fatal mistake of embarrassing them and making them look like fools, so, surprise, Tommy's back on top.

Correction

Drew Brees is on top

I respect the analysts that said Brees is now elite with Brady and Manning.

I still think Manning is a better overall QB than Tom Brady but it's a close race. In terms of success though, it's ludicrous to consider anyone but Tom Brady though.

To even put Manning in a GOAT debate is ridiculous. Ask yourself, if the game was on the line. Super Bowl, down six, and two minutes to play? Who would you trust? Manning, Brady, Warner, Big Ben or Brees. If you are the 5th option of your generation, how can you even enter the discussion about the greatest ever. 14-4, 9-4, 8-2, 4-2, 9-9. LMAO. It´s outrageous Manning is even in the discussion with his ****ty play-off performances. It´s like arguing whether MJ or Karl Malone is the best ever. Afterall Malone has scored more points than MJ.

Big Ben obviously

he's undefeated in the SB
