Ian's Daily Blog - What’s the difference between Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and New England Patriots QB Tom Brady? When the game is played on the world’s biggest stage (ie: the Super Bowl), Brady has clearly been the better player. We all know that Brady*has always been*cool under pressure, since unlike what fans saw from Manning tonight,*Brady has never thrown a [...]

Thank you, Patsfans and please STICKY this post..

I'll also point out:

"Manning drops to 9-9 in the postseason with one title, while Brady is 14-4 with 3 rings."

Very sad. :D

Such back-slapping of Brady is premature to say the least. He showed little of his grace under pressure this season, notwithstanding his come -back from injury, it remains to be seen if he can regain his 2007 composure. IMO, the team, as presently constituted, can't play in the same league with either of the SB opponents today. They are just quicker, stronger, faster, better. The Pats have a long way to go.

OK, and learn what he's talking about.

If both died tonight, Brady would easily be considered better in the postseason. I realize it's a team game, but Manning has choked in ways Brady never has. Brady's game against Baltimore has happened to Manning like 3 times in the postseason, and Brady has never blown a super bowl like that.

A non-Pats fan critiquing a Manning apologist (paraphrased from an espn board)

But he couldn't drive it across the street against the 25th ranked d in the league? The vikings never played the raiders or the chiefs and they crushed the browns. not sure what your talking about with this post. Your QB isn 't the best of his era he gave that to Tom Brady tonight. sorry that is a fact. non debatable.

You can not take away what Brady has already done. eight years as a starter, 4 superbowls and 3 wins.

Brady is clearly #1 at QB. Brady has 4 super bowl appearances, 4 AFC Titles, 14-4 career playoff record, and hes also done more with less offensive talent. Besides the last 3 years, Brady never had elite options at WR like Manning had with Harrison, Wayne, and Clark. Patriots are also 2-1 in the playoffs vs Manning. The only win Manning had over NE was an epic comeback in which they only won by 4 pts. Brady and the Pats killed the Colts twice at home in the playoffs in 03 and 04.

The bottomline is Brady was two lucky plays (Tyree catch off the helmet in 07 and Reggie Waynes fumble in 06 on the last drive of the game in which the ball landed right in his lap after being in the air forever) away from 5 super bowls! If Wayne didnt recover that fumble in 06, Manning would have zero SBs! I know you could say the same thing about the tuck rule in 01 but 03 and 04 was total domination!

come on...brady choked vs the Giants pass rush in 08 Superbowl. Manning will be back and Im sure Brady will be back too.

yeah...he choked the Pats to the lead with less than 2 minutes left in the game....Jets fan and moron are obviously interchangeable

im just being honest man. Brady was not able to withstand the pressure that the Giants created, just like any other QB. Manning AND Brady will both be back in the Super Bowl. I THINK/HOPE Sanchez will be there eventually too. (Im not a troll. I have always read these boards guys, dont hate me)

I don't hate you...I feel sorry for you...Brady led the Patriots to THE LEAD with 2 minutes left...the PATRIOTS DEFENSE GAVE UP THE WINNING SCORE...Brady did EXACTLY what was needed to WIN that game at the end...don't start inventing these mythical "he blew the game!!!!!" canards and expect them to go unchallenged.

You're dumb. How does a QB choke by throwing 0 ints against a pass-rush? The O-line choked, not a one-legged Brady...

In fact, in the last 3 minutes of the game Brady led a drive that ended in 6...but to be fair, so did Manning...

I understand the argument that the Oline let Brady down but he is known as one of the best QB's of all time. He got rattled and was sacked 5 times. Brady was only 29/48 which is just about 50% for the game. On the season he averaged 69 percent.

Brady completed 60% of his passes in the Super Bowl. Manning was sacked once and had virtually all day to throw for most of the game. No doubt Brady could have scored more points, but Manning led his team to only 3 more than Brady. And Brady didn't lose the game when everything was on the line.

The 2007 Giants were a much tougher defense than the Saints. There is no argument there.

Actually, he led the team on what should have been a game winning drive with a TD pass to Moss with 2 minutes left in the game. It was the defense that **** the bed at the end of that one. Brady did his job.

Brady is a better QB then Manning period.

Manning did blow the game tonight. I agree and I couldnt be more happier to agree after how smug he was in his press conference after beating the Jets. Brady did go 29/48, essentially 55% in the Superbowl, when he was close to 70% in the regular season that year. Brady and Manning will both be back though
