Typical dumb argument. The were a Samuel dropped INT from a PERFECT SEASON. But, no, they weren't as good as when Weis and Crennel were therethe pats have won nothing since weis and crennel have departed.

Q: ... I wonder if there isn't a level of awe that they may feel to be on your staff, whereas Josh McDaniels, Tom Dimitroff, Scott Pioli, Charlie Weis, you all came up together. What I'm driving at is are you getting enough pushback from the guys on your staff? Do you know what I mean?
BB: Yeah, absolutely. And I've talked to other coaches about that - coaches that are pretty well established, and I get the nature of your question. There's definitely Romeo [Crennel] or Charlie or somebody; they wouldn't really be afraid to at times say, 'What are you doing? Are you serious? Are you seriously considering that?' ...
It's a stupid question because it has nothing to do with the coaching staff. Unless maybe Belichick should have had an Interception Coach to make sure they hold onto the ball.did they win or did they lose that year?

Your point?
It is an intractable problem.
Bill Belichick will never have an assistant coach that can look him square in the eye and say, "Look Bill, that idea you have is stupid and it won't work" Crennel and Weiss could do it because they were there from the beginning.
No matter who you hire or what title you give them they are going to be "yes men" to BB. There are only a few people who have the crediblity not to be a "yes man" but Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher and Bill Parcells are not going to accept a job as a coordinator.
I disagree, Bill doesn't come across that way towards his coaches, and it's not as if Dante Scarnecchia and Ivan Fears haven't been here from the beginning and Pepper nearly as long. It's up to Bill to give his coaches the room to grow into that role - I'd say the number of coaches and execs who have left here to take HC, Coordinator, and GM jobs argues against your pessimism. It is an intractable problem.

Or by being incompetent. He has some talented veteran coaches, but career company men like Scharneccia haven't lasted through multiple regimes by making waves.
So I suppose they would be better off quiting since they didn't sign Weis or Crennel because obviously they won't win anythingthe pats have won nothing since weis and crennel have departed.
no offensive coordinator was evident last year.....in a bad way
so by your logic, the pats didn't win, so BB is a goddamn genius
Yep, I'll admit having all yes men is an organizational failure, but why should anyone assume there's nothing but yes men on the coaching & personnel staffs? He admits having all yes men afraid to speak up or disagree could be a problem.
I'm not saying it like that, but since the question and answer are pretty obvious and you don't know what the point is, I'm synthesizing and exaggerating the point so you don't ask me what the point is again.
