It's got me thinking about 2006 and 2007 non-stop. I can't wait until Monday morning (here) to get drunk off my butt by 9 AM, hopefully watch the Saints kick some horse tail, and put this season behind me so we can start thinking about 2010.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a Saints win, but otherwise a good drunk. I can't see any good coming from a Colts win, for the fans or the NFL. The only good result is a Saints win and a good drunk. Anything else is a let down.

What would make it even better is if Manning gets sacked 3 or more times.. And picked at least once by Darren Sharper. If the Saints can force the Colts back on their heels in the passing game, then the Saints should win easily..

kill the blankshooter!!!

I would like for Manning to stink up the joint so he's a little less annointed as the best ever than he has been lately. He is a great QB, but I'm sick of it already.

In all seriousness, I haven't been following the Super Bowl coverage at all. I barely even think about that the game is this Sunday. I haven't even committed to whether I am going to a friend's Super Bowl party or not or just watch the game at home because I don't care enough.

I'm thinking of sunday's game like a trip to the dentist...sure, there'll be novocaine (booze) and videos (halftime show and commercials), but I really don't want to watch the colts rip the saints, who seem to be frontloading the parties and celebrations and are destined to get blown out when the game finally comes around ("Oh, we have to play a game too? You mean it isn't enough to be the saviors of New Orleans by getting to the Super Bowl?")

then i get the nagging thought that we could have kept this from being peyton's big moment and we didn't get it done.

so i just have to get into the dentist's chair and take my medicine. Colts by 14 and going away. Arghhhhhhhh!!!!

ugh!

I was telling a friend ... the best part of the Super Bowl is the pre game food and drink fest. Getting together with friends and/or family.
Watching the commercials and the halftime show ... after that it's just another overhyped game.

My wish for Sunday is see Curtis Painter for at least 3 quaters.:eek::eek:

Agreed, it is depressing. I'm rooting for NO because I hate the Colts and because I was in NO for our game with them, plus that week-end, and their fans and the whole city were great and gracious even after they kicked our asses. I know Manning's great, but the idolatry, recent and otherwise, from across the country is really too much. With all that said, the Saints will be my second rooting interest - my first will be rooting for my 3 $100 squares in a $10K pool. The opportunity to kill about 15 Bud Light long-necks won't hurt either.

Don't worry. The next time Brady has a better season he'll be deemed the best quarterback. The season after that, if Manning has a better season, he'll be deemed the better quarterback. It's all about who is having the better statistical season/whose team is doing better in the playoffs. It's a Flavor of the Month thing with the media.

You're so right. I remember way back when, when Brady was the best QB in the universe. Less than 2 years ago.

It's like Heineken or Corona with lime. You really can't go wrong with either on a hot day.

I have payed almost zero attention to the headlines over the last 9 days or whatever it is. Unless the Patriots are in it I don't get into the hype. I have not turned on espn in weeks.

Looking forward to the food drink and friends. Also looking forward to benefiting financially from the Colts win.

Last night I drunkenly fell asleep looping the first 14 seconds of this clip over and over again:

Loop full or part of a YouTube video | EndlessYouTube

Woke up to it this morning with a huge grin on my face, and it was the best I've felt as a football fan since the morning of SB42. Screw it, as bummed as I was going into this one, the result literally couldn't have been any better.

Honestly family I wouldn't mind re-living that weekend

Yeah, I'm enjoying the post-game highlights and celebrations quite a bit.

If the media were a computer, they would have about 10k of RAM, just enough to keep about 10 seconds of data......

I'll do you one better. A gnat fart has more of an attention span than the media does.
