What are your feelings about Adam possibly doing something that only one other NFL player (Charles Haley) has done before in winning Super Bowl rings to cover all fingers on one hand?

Do you....

Hope his f-ing leg falls off in attempting a game winning FG?

Show respect and congratulations for a well deserved career?

Realize that other than Brady and the defense he was the difference maker in all 3 Super Bowls as a Patriot and are O.K with him winning another even if it means the Colts are champs again?

Do you think there is no easier way to win 5 rings as being a player that does not have the toughest job and he was just in a lucky position being on solid teams his career?

Do you not give a damn about the whole situation with the rings as long as you do not see him doing another commercial for Snickers and calling it Nougatieri?

or feelings of some other sort?

It's killing his ego that he is irrelevant ... he is seething.

So he may get a 5th ring ... he did nothing to deserve it ... he should pawn it if he gets it.

Good Luck to him.

Without him, we may still be waiting for our ring.

He's made one hell of a career for himself and I think Indy will regret using Stover ahead of Adam.

great kicker. who was lucky a nuff to play with brady and manning. with out them he would have 0 rings

And some may say Brady and Manning may have 0 rings without Adam.

He single handily won a game against the Ravens during the Colts '06 SB run.

I'm over the hurt from Adam leaving and I wish him well (although I pray the Colts lose). I think it's amazing that he's playing in his sixth Super Bowl. Is that a record?

Edit: This is more interesting and yes it counts since he is on the active roster (http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/columns/story?columnist=reiss_mike&id=4871425)
He's about to tie the record for all-time Super Bowl appearances by a player, with six. And he has a chance to become one of only two players in the history of the NFL with five Super Bowl rings, joining Charles Haley.
Another tidbit on the Colts kicking situation (http://www.indystar.com/article/20100125/SPORTS03/1250338/1100)
Matt Stover, who turns 42 on Wednesday, will become the oldest player to ever participate in the Super Bowl.

He won't,so I have no feelings.

He is a HOFer, IMO regardless of what transpires Sunday...and I know he's not "playing" (or kicking, if BP is reading this).

I hope he pulls a groin muscle shanking a "would-be" game tying kick in the final seconds. Other than that, thanks for your huge kicks as a Patriot, Adam.

I thought he couldn't play period due to injury.

I'm rooting against the Colts period. Nothing against Adam. But even if he gets a fifth, I don't think anybody's fooled - he's still a kicker.

Still a kicker, but the best kicker of all time. I'd take that over being a JAG safety any day.

As much as the tuck rule started the dynasty, if Vinatieri never made those 2 kicks in the snow versus Oakland...

Love Adam!! He'll always be a big part of Patriots history.
Sadly though not only will Adam not win ring # 5 but his replacement will cough up a fur ball at some point during the Super Bowl as the New Orleans Saints shock the world and beat the Indy Peytonchicks.

I have mixed feelings towars Adam one part of me is thankful for all he did getting us 3 rings but the other half is he plays for the Colts and I cannot like anybody playing for them.

Smart guy.

Look at it from his perspective. The only way his presence on the Pats might have meant another ring for him was in the desert when BB went for it on 4th and forever and passed up a chance at the three points that could have put that game into OT; somehow I think he would have let Adam take that kick.

Otherwise, he's got another ring on his finger and one more on the way this Sunday.

Smart guy.

If he was the kicker for the Saints, I would be rooting heavily for him.

I saw the Pats win 3 superbowls.

Repeat that phrase.

In my life time I was happy when they were not 1-15.

Factoring that in, I hope he wins 100 superbowl rings, has 500 healthy children, and a harem of babes.

But not for the Colts.

One of the luckiest players in NFL history. Not as far as kicks go, but as far as winning, then following the money and still winning. He's got it made.

Great kudos to Adam. But when is the next time a coach/coordinator will appear in six Super Bowls, with five wins? Adam has been a big part of those runs, as much as a kicker can be. Belichick has been one of the 2 most important figures in every Super Bowl.

Wasn't Coach the DC when we were in the Super Bowl vs. Green Bay? That would give him 2 appearances with the Giants and 5 appearances with the Pats, so he appeared in 7 Super Bowls and has 5 rings.
