if I was brady, I would sleep with my back to the wall

So Rex can bust through it like the Kool-Aid Man and swallow him whole?

I was thinking same thing.

Rex probably knows Tom is in the last year of his deal and probably wasn't paying attention when he and Giselle sold all the property in the City that never sleeps...

It's also possible someone sat him down after all his prognostications led to nothing but a final four restriction heading into the uncapped year and explained that it's increasingly a passing league and it will be difficult to replace even those guys he though he could upgrade on defense like Gholston and Rhodes let alone add receiving talent to the offense absent most of their draft picks...which is something they will need to do now that Shottsie, Jr. has emptied the vault and created reams of playoff film on the Sanchise heading into his sophomore season... And that old adage that if you're not getting better you're getting worse...he's trying to duck the media driven bullseye that all his bravado has apparently affixed to his JETS next season.

The next piece is even better...

Terrell Owens says he'd be chasing Jerry Rice's records if he played with better QBs - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com

Re: Rex Ryan: "As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they're the division favorites

Is this a rare humble Rex Ryan? or shall I say still humbled after the beatdown in Indy or is this just some BS thing he said but does not believe to avoid making another offseason of nothing but trash talk?

Jets coach Rex Ryan: 'The Patriots are still the favorites' - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com

Wise words from a guy that 1. Needed two teams that clinched to lay down for them to even get in the Playoffs 2. Thought they were eliminated in week 15.

Win. Can someone give this man a prize?

He is right, all his QB weren't great. Rice had two of the top 15 quartebacks ever, and Montana is a top 5. The best Owens had was Romo.

But its his fault, if he wasn't lockeroom cancer like he is, he could be in a better team, with a better QB, maybe Brady, who knows?

Many people including myself think Moss does take plays off at times, but no one talks about Owens doing the same thing,I can almost guarantee he is the same way and dissapears in some games which does lead to him not being better in his career than he is now.

However this talk is for another thread...

That is probably the single most sensible statement Ryan has made in his entire life.

Is this a rare humble Rex Ryan?

I think it's more like a jab at BB. The Pats will be favorites while Tom Brady is playing with them...but not so long as BB is the coach.

See what he did there?

I was thinking that very same thing the minute I read it.

Re: Rex Ryan: "As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they're the division favorites

he will change his mind next week and say the jets should be the favorites.

Re: Rex Ryan: "As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they're the division favorites

The bigger Question will be; when they play us next year...Will this be their SB again?

Re: Rex Ryan: "As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they're the division favorites

2010 Jets=Expectations and pressure!

Re: Rex Ryan: "As long as the Patriots have Tom Brady, they're the division favorites

A rare feat of humility from a man who didn't come here to "kiss Belichick's rings".
