All beliefs, including atheism, are "insane and disfunctional" to those who have other beliefs. There are almost a billion people on the world who think cows are sacred. Almost another billion believe in reincarnation. Over a billion people believe God became man to save us all from ourselves. There are even people who believe that all matter and energy in the entire universe has actually come from one single point in space about 14 billion years ago. Pretty ridiculous, huh?

Holy Roller Gatherings
Synagogue
Mosques
Prayer Meetings
Sunday School's

Those places are the breeding grounds for Wars, Hate, Killing's and most all of mans inhumanity to man, "man killing man for the sake of ones religion" has been going on since the Cave Man started to worship "his rock"

First of all, I'm defending no one. Second, if you liked to spank your own ass, with a soup spoon, I wouldn't give 2 ****s. Why? Cuz it's your own damn business, and no one else's. Third, this is the political forum. There is ZERO politics related to this story. This should be moved to the religious forum. If I posted this, or a political story, in another forum on this site, it would be justifiably moved ASAP. If there were a politically related angle to this thread, then fine, but there isn't. Could a mod please move this to the religious forum where it belongs. Thank you.

Why is this such a big deal? Its not a surprise that very very religious individuals may physically harm themselves in some way as an act of pentinence. Its of course a different time but many people in history have practiced it. Martin Luther beat himself a lot.
