As a result of Phillip Rivers not playing, now. And now, all of the following positions will have to add a player.

AFC
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Reggie Wayne
TE: Dallas Clark
C: Jeff Saturday
DE: Dwight Freeney
DE: Robert Mathis

NFC
QB: Drew Brees
T: Jonathan Stinchcomb
G: Jahri Evans
C: Jonathan Goodwin
LB: Jonathan Vilma
FS: Darren Sharper

While I think the ratings will now be better, the selections have now officially become a joke.

Not just Vince Young, but since Manning can't play, DAVID GARRARD will be in the Pro Bowl.

That makes it an AFC South Trio with Schaub the Starter. BTW, I haven't heard anything about Flacco or Orton declining to play, which means they were behind Young and Garrard. I hope that's not the case, because that would be a slap in the face. Only QB I heard declined as an alternate was Ben.

---

With Brees out, McNabb goes in. I'm gonna guess Favre does not play, which puts Romo in the game as well.

Rodgers will start, McNabb and then Romo. If either McNabb or Romo decline, then Kurt Warner would go. If he got the chance, he would probably decline, which means Eli goes.

That was a pretty interesting post to read.

I can't believe they actually put this before the Super Bowl. Pretty much makes it the Loser Bowl now, doesn't it?

DAVID GARRARD will be in the Pro Bowl.
I thought you were joking until Google confirmed it. I don't see how he made it unless Flacco, Orton, Palmer, and Henne all declined. I mean, Garrard stinks.

David Garrard is literally the 7th string QB for the AFC.

How long until they get to Hoyer?

the pro bowl all ways was a joke now it's a bigger joke

I was under the impression that they were trying to make it, less of a joke. I think their plan backfired. I just wish that the NFL was less about money, and more about quality product. It'll never happen, but i can atleast wish for it

What an epic failure the Pro Bowl will be this year. No one is going to want to play in the Pro Bowl without a free trip to Hawaii.

Roger Goodell is a moron......

This is a bigger farce than it has been... Why play the game, really Vince Young / David Garrard... ???

I think Young has been excellent this season apart from the San Diego game. And nobody better to partner Johnson obviously.

London Fletcher finally gets into the Pro Bowl.

I read an interview that he was sprinting around the house when the Saints won the game.

Do these players get bonuses in their contract because other players don't want to participate because the pro-bowl is a joke?

Oh my god, the AFC that trio of quarterbaks of the probowl is fierce.I mean they have player who was a cover on madden xD.

Can you imagine how the organization of the pro bowl must be felling right now??

That Kyle Vanden Bosch-Shaun Ellis duo will put even less pressure than the patriots do.
Why would the jets or the vikings players play in the probowl after a devastating loss??
And then, the pro bowl will get even weaker, and then the real pro bowlers will start to decline just because they don't want to go.
And then, even a Raiders-Rams game will be more intestering game to see.

Those are my predictions

Players that start 10 games without an injury don't go to the pro bowl, at least thay didn't use to.
QB that have least than 2000 passing yards don't go to the pro bowl.
Matt Cassel, Orton, Flacco, Sanchez, Henne, Palmer... deserve to go more than both of VY and Garrard.
